ok so who was funny & who wasn't. that's what i want to know.
and i totally agree that access & token seem to be taking over. but even if they show some of their other acts apart from the big guns. i would really like to see people like MBG, Jussy and others get a chance. a lot of the reason the ones that appeared are big is because most of us saw them for the first time on the gala.
how can we see new acts and the next big things if they won't give them a chance? I'd never heard of Danny Bhoy, Daniel Kitson & Lee Mack until they were on the gala. I decided Wil Anderson wasn't an arsehole when i saw him on the gala (ok i was wrong about that). seeing Adam Hills do working class anthem inspired a lot of us to see his show and fall in love with his work. |
