I missed seeing the Gala last night as I was out watching Brendon Burns (who was fucking excellent!), but I'm pleased my ugly mug was featured at such a moment.

I found the whole Gala quite dull overall, but I know I was laughing at Kitson. So I guess they've just spliced that footage in. (as they did a few years ago with me laughing at Vince Sorrenti - a comic I deplore on every level). Dan will be happy at such my reaction I'm sure. heh.

Unfortunately my biggest disappointment was with Rob Rouse, who I adored at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2002. I'm finding that his show this year borders on Northern Working Mans club humour, not the cheeky chappie I so fondly remember.

But so far, best show has been Charlie Pickering, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that opinion. Brendon Burns runs a close second.
