If it'd been the Takara version of the same figure (Optimus Prime's original character name was 'Convoy') which has a slightly different paint scheme, a different colour gun and longer smoke stacks then it would have been *slightly* rarer and therefore worth more.
(Optimus Prime's other original name, within the storyline, was Orion Pax. It was changed to his current name when he received the Matrix of Leadership and became leader of the Autobots. Whoo, I'm king of the nerds!)
