As for things to do, can't really help. Every time I'm in Adelaide I'm either holed up in my hotel room or out visiting customers.
They have some newly restored shiny balls in Rundell Mall , though, and I was told that next time I visit I could check out the central markets... if that helps any! |
Well if you want that stuff, then yes the Balls were reunited to the mall about 3 weeks ago. Then there are the malls pigs
If your at Glenelg, there is the Beach House (use to be Magic Mountain) which has waterslides and games and stuff.

Central Market is good, but its 95% food stalls, and the other stalls are mostly chinese store holders.
Jetty Road Glenelg, and Rundle Street Adelaide are the Cafe style streets.
If you want to go into the city, take the tram....theres lot of controversary surrounding its extension at the moment, but its the fastest way from Glenelg to city and well you cant get lost taking it...cause there is only 1 in Adelaide
If you like arty stuff, the Muesem and Art Gallery have been renovated etc in the last year, and are suppose to be very good. Then theres the failure of a wine centre that you can still visit.
Adelaide Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.
Other than the stuff at Glenelg, the city stuff above are all within walking distance of the middle of the city. Get a map from the hotel
Stamford Grand is definitely a "meat market" on weekends if you like that sort of thing.

There is a dress code......NO thongs
Otherwise when you get here, get the Advertiser, and look at the Gig guide and see what is on. Normally nothing my taste, but the Governer normally has quite good bands I'm told.
