Having spoken to Americans and Brits about this show for a while now, I was anticipating that it wouldn't match up to my expectations when I finally watched it, but I was really surprised; I absolutely loved it. I guess I just liked the slower pace of it, and the awkwardness reminds me of all sorts of events in my life.
I think the funniest line for me was the agitated way in which Jemaine pointed out that the tap wouldn't work. That had me almost in tears, it was just so simple and effective!
If it's anything to go by, everyone I've talked to about this series has said to stick with it for a few episodes, because it really picks up. I'm looking forward to giggling some more. |
