Omg no I totally think that Paul telling people to stick around for Big Brother is strange. I don't know why it's so weird. Probably cos he's promoting a show he would never watch, or maybe because he's actually advertising something. Commercial TV doesn't suit Paul, he's more of an Indie, ABC personality.
