ABC should do a good job of it as well. And yaaaay for no commercials!

It couldn't be screened the same week as the Gala, because it wasn't on until about two/three weeks after the Gala.

And everyone should watch it, moshy type people occupied the first couple of rows, so you can see them on tv

And it's a good thing, cause it'll go national, rather than not being played in Tasmania and some rural areas that get that dodgy channel that's ten and another combined and only shows some channel ten programs.
You can't contract a production company can you? Wouldnt the stations bid one the program as usual?

A production company and a station can put together a contract saying that the company will produce a certain number of a certain type of show for the station, although the station is often under no obligation to air them. To the best of my knowledge, GNWTV used to be contracted to ten, and they were required to produce a series of specials after GNW finished, in order to fill out their contracted quota, hence we got the Amanda Keller and Kate Fischer specials, and a few extra Mikey, Pubs and Beernuts specials, long after GNW was over.

They've been through a series of contracts with the ABC since, I believe, with options to extend their contract every however-many episodes. It wasn't until fairly recently that it was arranged for them to do an entire season.

Since they're contracted to the ABC for The Glass House, and Ted has been producing the debate for years, it's logical for them to put the debate on the ABC. They were on ten when GNWTV was with ten, ABC back when GNW was on the ABC, and before that I think it would have been bidding wars *g*

And you can play 'spot the friend of smuffy who kept on walking out to vomit', and possibly spot the smuffy as well.
