on another note. The flight of the Conchords CD is fantastic, the only song that is missing that I'd like to have is the mother ucker song.

i've been wanting Candy for about a month, and i'm trying to get it, but the whole $3-is-all-the-money-i-have-and-no-job thing is preventing my happiness at the moment. i guess i'll just have to scab off my parents, that or find some work

$3 is a problem, but inner west is available to download from daves website. as well as a non-polaroids song. *sniffle* I miss my polarbears

The CD has the feeling of a half-hearted attempt to discourage bootlegs. Worth it for Transcended though :thumbs-u: clearest copy I've heard of it *wanders off to mail her sister a copy* Oh, by the way, I recommend against installing Kazaa to download it, simply cause Kazaa shits me! Most annoying of all the file sharing programs.

Speaking of file charing networks (vague link but still) my bro installed mx on my comp lastnight and (kinda) showed me how to use it - yah! Though spent most of time thinking about what mx might mean - music express? monkeys, x-rated?

definately worth it just for Transcended. But I still like the other tracks ![]() The other point to make about the cd is although it may be an attempt to curb bootlegging (and good on 'em for trying) and the production may be not what a live performance would be, somewhere you have to draw a line and make a compromise. For example, we've all heard illegal bootlegs that one would consider would best capture the ambience of a live performance - and usually the recording is shoddy. It does the job of recording the night, but hey. A somewhat produced cd, although may not capture the feeling of a live performance, puts the emphasis back into the quality of sound... something i'm very impressed with on the cd. Finally, and after this endeth the lesson, it is a produced cd, so some slick editing would have had to take place to get the tracks to blend together nicely... which they do... if you didn't see the show, and weren't paying attention to what was being said, you wouldn't know there were cuts. woo yeh, who's up for a debate!

I can't believe I still don't have my hands on that CD. I'm seriously thinking about giving. Surely they're all sold out by now. I'm going to see Jimeoin tomorrow night, I'll have a look around for a GUD CD then. Maybe, just maybe, if lady luck is on my side, I might be able to get me one!
