Henry!

Ok I didn't really know where to put this..... but I'm dumb, so you get that.

I saw Henry Rollins in Brisbane last night. Has anyone else seen him on this tour?

I was really blown away, the man is amazing. He got up there and I talked for 3 hours straight and only stopped I think twice to take a sip of drink and then continue on. He went on about anything from the war to how he isn't a 'party person' to movie auditions to stories of his younger days and seeing the Remones and whatever else you can think of.
After seeing him live I having even more respect for the guy (if that's possible).

His double CD's (vol 1&2) were only $15 each so I'm listening to him now. *Mmmmmm affordable merchandise.*

well i missed him in tassie last time, not that i could afford it anyway as his tickets are usually mega expensive (well at tassie shows they are anyway) but i don't know if spoken word (or assume he's more of a ranter really) really appeals to me as much as just listening to his music. Although i can understand you would definitely appreciate it if you want to see a brilliant mind working.

Yeah, tics were about $40, so not too expensive but not overly cheap.
But my friends that I went with were both insanely hyped too so it was awsome.

Saw him last night at the Palais in Melbourne.

In fact, I have seen him every time he has seen fit to grace our shores for the past ten years...either doing spoken word or Rollins Band.

I have never been disappointed - ever.
It is a pleasure to be a member of his audience...

Henry - you fucking rock!

Glad to hear you've made the discovery Sugarplum Fairy...

Oh I'd known about him for ages but I'd only heard/seen his spoken word on heaps of CD's and Videos and stuff.

I'd seen Rollins band live at Livid and stuff like that but not nearly enough of hearing him talk

Plus is it just me or seeing him live is just so insanly different(more so then normal live/recorded comparisons). Plus there's that whole crowd bonding thing.
