Boiling Point TV

Charlie Pickering (Boiling Point, Triple J) and Michael Chamberlain (Boiling Point, Skithouse) have allegedly been approached by a commercial network to convert their popular comedy festival show, Boiling Point, into a tv show.

The show would be similar to their stage performance - focusing on news events from around the world, with links to correspondants "in the field".

The show also has guest cameo appearences from the top Australian comedy circuit, as well as more conventional guests.

Has anyone heard anything else about it? I'm surprised the rumour hasn't already been posted...

...with a certain ex fan les member on it??? :P

but a boiling point would be cool.... the main difference between it and CNNNN is that there's a dance-a-tron!!! *tries to decide which emoticon suits it best * i'll go with this one: :dancingm:

Yay, that'd be so good. I've been corrupting people into Boiling Point ever since last year when two of my friends and I slightly embarrassed ourselves by going into hysterics during the bit when they were conducting an interview on student radio!

We were (and two of us still are) in student radio

Howard Still Pongs.

'Gag reflex.' - Tim (choking etc during Wimmin's Lit)
'Completely gone.' - Paul.

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.
