*sniffle* oh, our lil boys are all growed up, hitting the international circuit!
but having two shows sold out already, pretty impressive in my books! is the Gilded Balloon a good venue?

I wanna go! Its my birthday on the 13th, I wonder if I can convice anyone to send me to edinburgh.

How much will it cost me to get there? And, um, where is it exactly. I'm guessing its England somewhere, but I'm not sure how much that narrows it down.

I'll be coming from Melbourne, and I like the sound of Scotland! I think I have ancestors there or something. I've decided that I'll go, but now I just have to work out how long I can afford to stay.

Well, now I'm sort of set to go. I booked my flight and accom, found someone to borrow the money off, got my passport application in. My mum almost passed out when I told her, actually I almost did myself.

I get paid monthly, so next months paycheck is going to flight and accom, and then on the 15th August I'll get a boost to my spending money. Of course, my flight has to be paid for a week before payday, but someone will lend the money to me for 7 measley days.

Paul McDermott hosting Late n Live 2003

I guess the thing that pisses me most off about not going to Edinburgh this year isnt that I'll miss Gud or any of the other shows, its that Paul is hosting Late n Live along with Daniel Kitson. Fuck!

But knowing full well what Edinburgh is like, I'm guessing that Gud will become a bit of regular thing, as will McDermotts hosting (yay! may the Comedylive INCEST tour be part of that in 2004!). The worshipping of DAAS over there, and the anecdotes of their antics at the Fringe (particularly the old Bear Pit) is still hot amongst the comedy community and the locals.

May we restore the traditional of the late night Royal mile walk with Arthur smith next.

And we expect stories and photos from all those going this year - particularly if Paul gets into anything with a heckler there and start climbing the walls.
