*salutes* Greetings. Well, it looks like my journalism work is reaping some brilliant benefits...i'm set to cover Jimeoin's visit to Newcastle in July. I'm coming up with some ideas for questions to ask when we meet, and so far i've got a good list, but this led to wondering what his fans are keen to know from him. So...is there anything in particular you wish you could ask him? There's no guarantee that i'll use the questions - i'm writing a list already and I may use a few. But put 'em forward anyway! Gaah. I was panicking for a second because I realized that he will be in town on the same day as the Concert For Holly, but it's OK - i'll do the interview during the day and travel to Sydders in time for the show. Good. Great. Sorry, had to dispense that feeling of relief. | ||

Congrats on getting the gig Kizbo! Im sure youll do an ace job Id like to help you out with Q's, but its pretty hard to be original How about: If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?  (i heard that q on a tv show once. It was hilarious- At The Time  )Or maybe asking him who his fave comedians are and why, or what makes him laugh, or what makes him angry etc Or you could ask him about his travels- either on the teatowel tour or just in general (whats the best place, worst place etc) Ask him about shows where hes bombed :exclamat: I love hearing stories of how comedians have crashed and burned :lookarou: dont look at me like im evil, its true! Or ask him about hecklers, I love hearing those stories as well Just some suggestions Good luck dudie! | ||

| What inspires him to be funny? Why does he like to make people laugh? It's an oldie, but a goodie. Maybe where does he see himself in 5, 10, 50 years time? Remember Paul's "old man in a cave with a bad neck"?  | ||

Thanks guys! I just got a call from the editor - the interview will be done over the phone tomorrow morning. I barely function until 11am and that's when the interview is scheduled to begin! I've got sensible questions as well as silly ones, and there is room for a few more!

Oh, now ain't that clever? The first thing Jimeoin heard as I picked up the phone in the Uturn office (which is connected to a tape recorder and was all tangled up in cords) was... "Which end is the talking end?" Transcript coming soon. Meanwhile i'll just bash my head against this here wall. At least he got a laugh out of it. | ||

I write for Uturn Streetpress. I'll be transcribing the interview tape tomorrow and turning it into an article...and yes, i'll include my moment of stupidity! Re: Holly Tribute, I was going to cover it for Uturn but we have a policy against asking for access to charity events. So if i'm going to attend, i'll have to attend out of my own pocket. It's for a great cause but I need to start a charity event of my own - "Give Kiz Money So She Can Go To Stuff"! | ||
