Dermo will be 'dragging herself' over hopefully next year for the Comedy festival.

I'll let her tell you the details if she cares to...

Haha yes, with a bit of luck Joe and I will be heading to the 2004 melbourne comedy festival, So far the Pony Club is the favorite is that right sharleen?

OOOOK GUD boys tonight were on fire! if somebody had told me 10 years ago that there would be somebody capable of stealing the lime light from PMcDiddy I would not have believed them....but 10 years ago I did not know Cameron Bruce. Tonight the guy stole every laugh, made paul laugh, the audience was in stitches and we even managed an encore!! Only one thing could top it and it happened.....

THE GUD BOYS CLOSED DOWN THE GILDED BALLOON!!

Oh they say they evacuated the entire venue (holding 8 theatres) because of a melted wire but it's no accident that it happened just as we were coming out of GUD.

This led to the highlight of the festival, with 600 people gathered in the square a small comic voice belonging to Stephen K Amos bellowed out of the courtyard...Thus a benifit began! Acts such as Christian Reiley, Daniel Kitson and Sarah Kendall busked their act in front of this happy, yet bewildered crowd. 2 hours later it rained and the venue opened up. Where were our GUD boys? Where was the PMcDiddy of yesteryear who would have soaked up the atmosphere and driven the crowd wild? NOWHERE! Out drinking and unaware of the amazing publicity event that was taking place. We could have had the race, we could have had 600 poor punters singing Jeans, but we didn't. Paul I was dissapointed.

Highlights - bumping into my mate Ed Byrne who I haven;t seen for ages and forcing him to wear a Nicko and Joe badge

Lowlights - having an act who would have driven a busking comedy crowd wild miss the thing entirely!

nothing is confirmed, but yes, the aim is a show at the Pony Club at next years festival. Details should be become clearer after October.

Every post you make Dermo just makes me more jealous. A shambolic gig in the courtyard of the Gilded Balloon is something I dream of attending! As long as Mr Amos kept his pants on it would have been an excellent experience.

I look forward to being there again next year and raising hell with you!

Mick is a cutie and rather a laugh to have around (he does an interesting 'worlds smallest dance'). Also, a complete gentleman who shares his lollies.
Hey, glad to see someone else appreciates Mick! Tell me about his 'world's smallest dance'? What do you mean he shares his lollies... do you actually mean lollies like M&Ms or is that a code word for hard substances like alcohol etc?

Thanks for the info! There's so little about him on the web.

The 'worldssmallest dance' was a little (ha!) something he showed us which involves him holding his hands quite close to himself and pointing side to side with his index fingers. He said it was something he came up with when he was drunk and which seemd hilarious at the time. Of course, everything seems like genius when your half cut. Oh, and by lollies, I do mean lollies. Sour fruit jelly thingies, He and my best mate both went for the same one (the only one left like it) so they shared it and he even let her have first bite. Of course she took the bit they both wanted.

Ahh today is edinburgh at it's best, the sun is out, its hot, the beer is cold and I am about to spend the whole day with my chums basking in the delightful splendour of this bustling city.

I am taking a few of them to see GUD tonight thus allowing myself the title of scary stalker chick, but I am hoping that because I am taking guests to see it I won;t come accross as somebody who has a hidden weapons stash.....spinning wheel tonight so here's to rolling in at 7am again.

Wish you were all here :o)

hey, we all wish we were there too.I taped the Concert for Holly and I'm watching it again to get my GUD fix (my CD hasn't arrived yet). Don't worry though, stalker laws are rather sketchy so you'll probably be OK. By the way I meant the ADELAIDE fringe Dermo

Anyway Dermo, it's not stalking,it's an international act of goodwill. You are performing a favour for one of your Mosh brethren. You are an ambassador, a saint, a bone fide champion (too much, right?)

Hey Jinnes, thanks for the info! I laughed out loud imaging the world's smallest dance, thereby alerting my colleagues to the fact that I wasn't actually working... heheh.

When did you actually meet him? Hey Dermo, if you get a chance to talk to the lads you can make Paul even more insecure by telling him that not only Cam but Mick as well are stealing his limelight ... heheh! If he wants to be the star he shouldn't have surrounded himself with such appealing eye candy. *wink* (this is going back quite a few posts when you(?) said that Cam stole all Paul's laughs.)

Anyway, Dermo, think about it this way: the more you see the show, the more money the boys make. You're directly contributing to keeping them in beer and cigarettes. They should be grateful! :p

Cam - where do you even keep a cunt once you've cut it out?
Mick - on a piano stool.

Dermo, do you need a sidekick for your Edinburgh Adventures?

In just 38 hours til I jump on a plane to Edinburgh! Sure you might seem like a stalker, but I bet I can top that with coming all the way from Melbourne! Although my psychiatrist has convinced me that it does not make me a stalker, by making me belive that my childhood dream was to visit Scotland.

Two more sleeps*, and I'll be joining you!

* Thats what they say but, you know, when you're really tired it's more like 1 sleep (or 3 days).
