The reason I'm a bit blah on him is mainly because the funniest joke at his show was when he made a simpsons reference. That has to say something.
i've actually had a few people who don't like adam. can't see why myself :p but my friends saw him on rove a few times and liked the Working Class Anthem so i dragged them to the Comedy Store to see him. And it was the worst gig i've ever see him do. It was straight after doing the Fringe & Comfest and u could tell he was tired and not in the mood. A lot of people didn't get the jokes (not that they were hard to get) and there were a bunch of English teenagers who proceeded to make Adam's life hell on stage, to the point where he abused them back.

I was thinking "I'm going to be here the night the nice guy of comedy finally snaps. Fortunately (or unfortunately) he held it together. But i still have to apologise to my friends about that night. If i wasn't such a big fan and that was the first night i saw him, i really wouldn't have liked him at all

A good comedian should make one laugh, cry, feel pain and change the way you look at the most mundane of things.

.. Timing..

It’s all about timing

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cunt... me.

I don't have one faviout comedian, but Adam Hills is just amazing.

Although if I listed all the comedians I really enjoyed we will be here all night - but for the sake, I reconmend Anthony Menchetti for anyone going to the comedy festival. He will make it big very soon - either here or unfourtantly in the UK.

*joins the Adam ranks*

Last year's show did get 'preachy', but I enjoyed it just the same. Happy Feet was the funniest show I have ever seen. He literally had to stop the show to ask someone in the front row if they were ok. I was glad about that because I had tears streaming down my face and my tummy hurt. And I'd forgotten how to breathe.
Ross Noble has done that to me (and GUD had me in tears last year too), but I've never seen anyone other than Adam sustain it over an hour.

I really can't wait til Saturday.

Can someone let me know when Neil Hamburger tells a joke? The only time I ever saw him his FANS booed him off.

Howard Still Pongs.

'Gag reflex.' - Tim (choking etc during Wimmin's Lit)
'Completely gone.' - Paul.

I read a quote from Justin - who would of thunk it?!- and he was explaining how in Australia if a comedian tells someone that they do Stand Up in Australia people ask "Are you going to be on TV or Radio" Where as people in America and the Uk don't.

It shows a maturity in those countries and that is why people like Adam Hills, Mickey D, Sarah Kendal, ect fuck off over to the UK, because if you don’t get a TV or radio slot it’s a very hard slog – where as the UK loves Aussie comics and woot…

Fave comedian...hard question!

Ben Elton is an excellent comic writer.

Rowan Atkinson is good too, although Mr Bean sh**ts me no end. Eddie Murphey has, unfortunately had his day, but Billy and Robin I think have lasted pretty well. They're all pretty good with stand up.

I don't find female comedians as funny as I'd like. What do others think?

The guy is a genius!! Him getting boo'd off the the whole point of the show!

I honestly have to say he is one of the best comedians going around.

Q:"...What do you get when you cross elton john with a sabre tooth tiger".
A: "I dont know, but i'd keep it the hell away from your arse!"

pure gold!

Another classic::

Q "Why did julia roberts rub shit on her vagina"
A: Because she was horny!!"

it's hilarious! bad taste, but great!

I haven't seen them live but I have heard albums and seen videos, very worth while, rowan atkinson has never really done proper stand up, he's more of a sketch kind of person

Cam - where do you even keep a cunt once you've cut it out?
Mick - on a piano stool.

Most video shops will have a "Best of" tape for most of those guys in their comedy section. Check out Eddie Murphy's tapes especially, just to see the difference between what he used to be and the stuff he does now, like Dr Doolittle.

If you tell a joke in the forest, but nobody laughs, was it a joke?
