'Herman the Legal Labrador' animated film Melbourne premier

A good friend of mine, Dave Blumenstein, has FINALLY finished his 20 min animated film. It'll be showing tonight in Melbourne (sorry for the short notice). Dave did the animated intro for The Panel that was used for the last few eps last year, and he's got a stellar cast of comedic talent providing voices for his flick. For a preview of the film check out his homepage: www.nakedfella.com/

And here's all the info for the screening:

Boys and girls!

After more than TWO YEARS in the making, it's FINALLY (!) time for the
unveiling of a truly epic independent animated film. Yes, you and
anybody else who can be stuffed are invited to the long-awaited premiere
of...

-=«: HERMAN, THE LEGAL LABRADOR :»=-

(no expense spared on the ASCII decoration!)

Herman (as we ALL know) is an adorable Labrador doggie who is also an
adorable criminal defence attorney! Helped (and hindered) by his owner
Chuck, Herman seeks a murderer, one who has seemingly framed his client,
Danny Hoang. Can this uphill battle against public prosecutor Palumbo
and the cream of the world's evil be won by a pants-wearing dog? HELL YES!

Starring the voices of SHAUN MICALLEF (Palumbo), ADAM WAJNBERG (Chuck),
KATRINA MATHERS, BRIAN MILLERSHIP, LOC HUU NGHE, SANTO CILAURO, ADRIAN
CALEAR, DUFF, THOMAS PULLAR and more!

Featuring the cutting edge in JERKY FLASH ANIMATION and PHOTOSHOP LENS
FLARES!

Produced by mega-bucks star-power business maven JEREMY PARKER!

And written, directed and animated by yers truly, DICKHEA-- I mean,
DAVID BLUMENSTEIN!

---
THE DETAILS

Premiere night is THURSDAY, MAY 20 at the FORMER MAGISTRATES COURT,
corner LA TROBE and RUSSELL STs, CITY (the city being Melbourne).

Screenings will take place at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30pm. They're free, so
there's no advance booking -- tickets at the door.

This event is part of the 2004 NEXT WAVE FESTIVAL, 18-30 May.

Yep, a couple of crazy Jews who aren't above posting anonymous messages about themselves on the internet ..... :p

Speaking of crazy Jews, I was at a scifi convention last weekend as the Dalek when a Jewish friend stuck his skullcap on the Dalek. You've never heard "Hava Nagila"sung with more fervour ...
