It's going to be in the SMH on Monday (7 Feb). There's a mention of it in today's paper.

2006 Sydney Festivals

Have noticed that the Cracker Comedy Festival website for 2006 is up and running. A few artists already announced. Probably of most interest is Danny Bhoy, Arj Barker and Ross Noble. They're all at the Enmore Theatre. Tickets are already on sale via Ticketek. The full programme is released on February 1.

Also recently received a mailout from the Parramatta Riverside Theatre, where the Big Laugh Festival is mostly based. There's a couple of pages about next year's festival. Artists mentioned include the Aunty Jack Show, Dylan Moran (Black Books), Ross Noble, Adam Hills and Rod Quantock. Apparently Rod has adapted his "bus show" and will be taking it onto the water on a Rivercat.

Am yet undecided about about whether to buy tickets for Ross' Enmore shows or wait until the (presumably) Parramatta show comes on sale. Being a western Sydney-type, Parramatta's much more convenient than Newtown!

i can't see where it talks about dylan on the big laugh site. where is it?

my sister saw him in sweden this year and said he was very funny but she couldn't understand a lot of what he was saying cause of his accent. does give me more of an incentive to come to melbs this year though.

I'm eager to see Dylan live.
Does anyone know for sure whether or not Big Laugh will be spread across sydney again? I spoke to John Pinder a few months ago, but there didn't seem to be a definative answer.

As far as I'm aware, it's not on the website. I got the info from a brochure that was sent to me by the Riverside Theatre, which is hosting the festival.

As for venues, the same brochure says that most of the shows will be in Parramatta, the home base being the Riverside Theatre. Shows are also at The Laugh Garage Comedy Club (Parramatta), the State Theatre and "a couple of nights" at The Seymour Centre.
