forget good news week and singing the next lyric...

once you've seen eddie perfect singing 'raindrops keep falling on my head', 'take on me' and 'wonderwall' with words from the bible that pales in comparison. it also makes this show totally worth watching.

i missed the first half though, anyone else watching who can actually tell me the point of the show?

I missed the first five minutes, but it seemed to me very much like there wasn't a point.
Eddie Perfect was wonderful. I also love Adam Hills and Hamish Blake though, so it was a win win win situation.

the point of it was that there are 2 teams and they had to earn points in the different segments. i liked it. mum and brother said "this is quite boring". :-(

I watched it instead of Blue Heelers when I was channel flicking during credits. I enjoyed it muchly and am going to have to try and remember to watch it next week.

I didn't watch because I was watching Blue Heelers.

Did anyone else notice that Ross Noble got a writing credit - thought the musician/serial killer game was familiar - all I could hear was - 'Not a Band' in that distinctive accent of his.

see, this place has stuffed your mind already!!!!!

i found it good. like with rockwiz i'm not allowed to watch it with other people as, like FR has illustrated, way too much crap music knowledge in my head and therefore must spout it at any given moment.

i did like the show however a couple of things annoyed me. it was rather slow-paced and adam needs to read the autocue more naturally (u could see him leaning forward and squinting to follow the lines, also the jokes in his intro fell rather flat from the way he was reading it). i also didn't find the jokes that funny, which although i know isn't the point of the show, with people like adam and ross i would have expected a bit more.

and i would rather see ross on the show then just writing it. should we take bets on how long before midgets make an appearance?

it's like in dark crystal. the crystal that was GNW was broken and all the elements of satire evolved into the glasshouse and the parlour games moved to spicks and specks.

Adam's not really a joke teller tho, more an anecdotilist - and great at reacting to what's gone before. He'll get better over the hopefully many weeks to come. The grimacing at the autocue was indeed painful. Something to work on Hillsy.

I agree that last night the show was quite slow - they hardly got anything done in the time - but I suppose that's what happens in half hour slots. It's just not enough time to let 7 people shine.

Not a bad start. Waiting for the team to cut loose. Not a bad Wednesday night's viewing.

I really liked the show, definetly will keep watching. It does need some improvements. Like other people have said it was a bit slow at times. Given it was only the first show, I guess it can only get better.

One other thing it was a bit weird that they were all sitting at the same desk. Cause there are 2 teams, but they were all so close to each other. And the team captains were next to Adam. I'll have to get used to that.

I thought the games were great, especially the singing the songs with different lyrics.

I'm undecided about spots - Geoff (Coupling)

Who does surveys of 3 people, 3's not statistically significant - Cameron (Love Gud)

And did anyone notice that Ross Noble was listed in the credits as a guest when it should have been Ross Wilson? Only a little thing but, then, the littlest things annoy me...
