The boys are a little slack with flyering, which is sad, cos its seriously too good a show to let go to waste. A show of its quality should be sold out every night, especially as they don't have a large room.

ElbowSkin: Comedy Gondola
Pillar Room (Freemasons Hall)
5 Mar at 9.30pm,
14-18 Mar at 7.30pm
19 Mar at 6.30pm

If you're not in Adelaide, put it on the must see list for Melbourne. It's well worth it. My cheeks hurt from laughing when I walked out.

Seriously, Go see them! :P

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where is a good place to stay for the Fringe? I've not been to the Fringe (let alone Adelaide) before so have no idea what area is central to the Festival. Any suggestions of hotels/areas are good or bad?

The majority of the Fringe is in Rundle Street and the surrounding area and parklands. So you really want the East ending, but everything in Adelaide is like 10 minute walk in every direction any way, so anywhere is sort of good.

I think there is a link to accommodation on the Fringe website. Let me check some stuff out and get back to you

http://www.southaustralia.com/9001391.aspx - The Austral Hotel is in Rundle Street, and the website says $60.00 a night. Which is reasonable....Ive paid more than that in Melbourne...

Plaza Hotel is on Hindley street which is basically the continuation of Rundle Street....well if you walk down Rundle Street, and cross through Rundle mall, the street on the other side of the mall is Hindley Street. Its like 10 minutes from one end to the other. Site says is about $80.00 a night.

Depends on how long you coming for, it might be cheaper to get a serviced apartment though.

The fringe guide comes out on the 9th January, so the site will have stuff up soon. A lot of the comedians have been advertising in the Advertiser for a few weeks. I know Tripod and Ross Noble are definite starters. Adam Hills is apparently only doing ONE show. *grrrr*.

I will steal the Advertiser from my mum and put some more stuff up in the next few days.

damn damn damn...forgot to steal the paper. I just rang mum and she will drop me off the papers she has tomorrow, so I will put up everything that is in them.

Not all of it. Most is Rundle Street procimity, but they have said something about the Hills and Southern Suburbs, and maybe some to the north as well, but that is mostly Youth stuff I think.

SydneyGuy

I didn't forget I promised to put stuff up, but ever since I posted that message they haven't put any adverts in the paper. Maybe cause the programme is out next Wednesday.

Sorry

Sydneyguy - Did you get a fringe guide?

I totally recommend PLUCK. Don't be put off by the fact that they play classical music. It is totally hilarous. I caught them in 2006 when I was volunteering at the venue they were performing at, and they just had me in stitches.

Ofcourse there is a guide. Nice big colour one. If I can find one in Stirling where I work, I'll send it to you if you like.

Yeah I didn't go to any shows last year cause a job change. Good luck with it, even if it means you can't come

personally no....because I live here, I dont need to, and since I dont drink, never need to stay in town cause I was too plastered to drive home
I've been in the bar area of the Austral and its fairly nice.

The Richmond Hotel in Rundle Mall has been renovated in the last year or so and is suppose to be really good. Not sure what the price was on that though.
