Aussie Comedy Podcast - Radio Ha Ha

Hiya moshers,

Do you like Tripod..? Tom Gleeson? Steven Wright? The folk from Show Us Your Roots, Flight of the Conchords, the Goodies and heaps and heaps (and heaps) more?

(Or maybe I shoulda just said - do you like comedy…)

Then you might like this! Radio Ha Ha is an about Comedy show put together by myself and Dom Romeo. Dom’s a bit of a Comedy Guru, Writer and Reviewer and is Raw Comedy’s long time hanging judge. I’ve been trying my hand at Stand Up around Sydney for a couple of years now. Both of us are major comedy nerds who love all things related to the craft, especially if it’s Aussie too.

We’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to produce our own comedy show for Podcast. Radio Ha Ha is recorded once a week and includes: interviews with local and international acts, material from the hottest comedians in Australia and around the world both new and old school, commentary on stand up and Sydney's comedy scene, gig reviews, a gig guide and more.

There are 10 Episodes up so far (about 20 / 30 minutes each) with the 11th on its way, and soon the related Radio Ha Ha Website will be up and running. We have started to get a good following but want to do all we can to promote and bring comedy to the people, and the more people we have subscribe to us the better we’re placed to do that. Now that we’ve done a few episodes and have gotten the hang of it I’m keen to start spreading the word for comedy fans everywhere to check it out.

If you have iTunes and want to hear it then just type ‘Radio Ha Ha’ in the Podcast search engine to find it. If you have other podcast software then just enter this link: http://podcasts.2gb.com/radiohaha.xml OR - if you want to listen but don’t know how all the info you need to listen to podcasts is here.

Any feedback, requests or anything you want to comment on regarding the show can be fed to us via the www.2gbplus.com site. We often play requests and give away comedy DVD’s to people who contact us (when they remember to include their address!) and we would love to put people on air with their requests.

Thanks everyone, I hope you find something you like.

Tammy

You don't need an ipod to use iTunes, you can just use it by itself, including downloading and listening to podcasts.
If you have iTunes, go to the Advanced menu and select Subscribe to Podcast and it'll popup a little text entry box where you put the .xml url.

There're other ways to subscribe to podcasts but I only use itunes. Because Dr Karl is listed in the search thing and that's the only one I subscribe to.

Radio Ha Ha is a bit of a wank - particularly that Dom Romeo guy who thinks he owns comedy.

That Tammy chick is a bit of all right though. When does she do gigs?

Thanks heaps, Louie! Very flattered. And, were I to err in a way that ought to be pointed out, no doubt someone on this forum would, indeed, point it out!!

I do hope people are enjoying Radio Ha Ha; if it doesn't get too annoying, I will start announcing upcoming episode content - unless people feel this isn't the place.

As for Fun Ghoul's (don't think your name is lost on me, Fun - I'll never let a pun slip past if I can help it!) sentiments regarding Tammy T, I agree, we could all do with seeing her do more stand-up. I know I'm always gonna be biased because I work with her - but she genuinely makes me laugh (as you'll hear, more often than not, in the episodes).

I also owe her for introducing me to Mitch Hedberg, and like all converts, I'm more zealous than the true believers who were hip from the beginning.

As for Radio Ha Ha, episode 31 (which I'm currently taking a break from editing since someone alerted me to the fact that this topic was on MOSH!) will contain an interview with Tom Gleeson and some unashamedly retro novelty single Aussie comedy. (Tammy would disagree; she'd consider it embarrassingly worthy of shame for including it!)

Once again, if this is deemed inappropriate, self-indulgent or opportunistic posting, I shall refrain from doing so in future - and merely continue to lurk, troll and read.

Cheers,
Dom

PS - the best place to download and/or subscribe to the podcasts is at http://www.radiohaha.com.au - this will redirect you to the part of the freedigitalcontent.com website where the podcasts live. Again, if this is inappropriate, I will remove this post script.

It's supposed to, it's not HTML. It's meant to be used in programs like iTunes or an RSS reader.
