Hi all, First up, we just want to say THANK YOU so much to everyone on Mosh for your support and feedback for The Pink Horse of Whimsy. Season 1 has been so much fun, and we've really learned a lot too. Next week (Wed 22nd Feb) is our huge final show, and we've pulled out all the stops (Danny: There were stops?) to create an undeniable masterpiece of variety entertainment. Permit us to quote directly from the press release: ======== Final instalment promises to subtly rearrange the fabric of space-time so that Brad Pitt’s ankles turn into delicious blueberry muffins. The Melbourne entertainment scene has been forced back into the trees to live like a damn dirty ape by a new LIVE variety show, The Pink Horse of Whimsy (PHoW). PHoW showcases some of Melbourne’s best established and upcoming comedians, musicians and filmmakers , and is hosted by the cheeky and energetic Danny Alder and over-educated half-wit Dan Walmsley. Over the last four weeks, PHoW has thrilled and challenged audiences with its unique blend of comedy, improvisation, news, music, animation and film – a blend so unique and powerful that the only word that can be used to describe it is: MEGATAINMENT. Next week’s show is the final instalment for Season 1, and we have crafted a variety show of almost Byzantine complexity, that clicks and whirs like Charles Babbage’s Difference Engine before... BING! Perfectly cooked entertainment. We will have comedy from Darren Lever, Improv group Cut & Paste, and headliner Adam McKenzie. We’re also extremely excited to have music by Man Bites God, and we’ll be showing another short film by a great local filmmaker. The final show is on at 8pm on the 22nd of February upstairs at Vibe on Smith (123 Smith Street, Collingwood) and entry is $5. For more information, free videos, pictures, and official merchandise visit http://pinkhorseofwhimsy.com. ======== Also, don't forget next week we'll be selling DVDs from Season 1 - it will be your one-and-only chance to pick up every episode of "What Would Georgie Choose", as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and interviews and never-before-seen craziness the likes of which I haven't even thought of yet. One day these things will be worth, say, $23 OR MORE so pick them up while you can. Please leave any suggestions or feedback here, or send them to show@pinkhorseofwhimsy.com. See you next week! Cheers, Danny Alder and Dan Walmsley | ||
