... There's Raw Comedy podcasts on the J's website? ![]() The URL is: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/rawcom...st/podcast.xml In iTunes, if you didn't know how, you go to Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast, and paste that URL into the box. I couldn't find them within iTunes itself. Seems to be 5 available so far, 5 to 7 minutes in length each. (Haven't listened yet, will later.)

It's a fancy pants way of making an audio file available to people. The "podcast" method is popular because it lets people easily drop things in their ipod to listen to later. Most podcasts (including the Triple J Raw Comedy podcast) are done in mp3 format, which means you can listen to them on just about any portable music player, once you've downloaded them. The ones currently available for download are as follows: 14th of February in Melbourne: Rachel Leary as 'Nance from the country' 7th of February in Melbourne: Runner up Celia Pacquola and winner Michael Williams 3rd of February in Adelaide: Jason Pestell and Kevin Dennison 31st of January in Melbourne: Heat winners Ben Pobjie and Gareth Moloney 24th of January in Melbourne: Heat winners Andrew Lonsdale, Sean Modd and Nameless 18th of January in Adelaide: Heat winner Hannah Gadsby If any of them are wrong, talk to Triple J. That's what they have listed in the podcast XML.

Yes. You can download them and listen to them with anything you'd ordinarily listen to mp3s with. You can get them with iTunes by following the instructions above. If you don't have iTunes then this link leads to the website. Anyone can install iTunes, you don't need an iPod for it.

Since ITunes won't run on Win98, you can also use an RSS Reader to subscribe to the Raw Feed (mine's an extension to Firefox). The Reader will notify you when a new MP3 is available & you can download it. Then you can use any media player to listen to it.
