I don't know anything about Bruno Lucia so can't help there but I thought I'd make a suggestion anyway. If you're lookng for a good night of comedy and aren't sure what you want to see then you might be best to go to a place like Mic in Hand where you'll see several open micers (who half the time are actually fairly established) plus up to two longer sets. It's generally cheaper, has a better atmosphere and due to the variety of acts you're more likely to find something you like.

I reviewed Bruno's Comedy Festival show earlier this year for The Groggy Squirrel.
From what I remember (the Com Fest became quite a blur!) I enjoyed it.
The review is at Stand up and rock

It's on a Thursday at 8pm and well worth the trip (I come from the very south of Sydney).

As in the very bottom of the Shire, one train station before you're on the intercity lines. I didn't mean that it's VERY far away, just that it's at the very (absolute, well almost) southern part of Sydney. It takes the better part of an hour to get there.

It normally finishes some time between 10:30 and 11:30. I don't really pay that much attention to when it ends. Like I said, it's well worth it.
