Following a hugely successful 2007 Melbourne Comedy Festival premiere at the Arts Centre, Sista She is taking hit show House of the Holy Bootay to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. Sista She’s talented friends are getting together on stage at the East Brunswick Club on Thursday 21 June to help them spread Sista ‘Philosophy in Rhyme’ to bonnie Scotland.

The Sista She Hip Hop Carnival will be an extraordinary mix of Carnival Burlesque, Comedy and Hip Hop, with guests Lawrence Leung, The Monkey Brigade (booty-style dance), Polytoxic (Dance, QLD), Carla Yamine (The Town Bikes), Andy McLelland & Bec Hill, Liz Stringer & Jordie Lane, Anni Davey (circus), Wes Snelling, Quiche Lorraine and The Tongan Youth Group. If you thought you'd seen it all- think again!

Sista She will also be joined by their crew, Australia’s nastiest lady Beats Producer, BUSTY BEATS and the Intellect on the Decks, DJ JONAH.

The Sista She Hip Hop Carnival continues a busy year for the Queens of Aussie hip hop, which includes a theatre season in Sydney throughout July and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.

Aw, you would have liked it. Lawrence Leung did a version MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" (and got puffed about 3/4 of the way through ), Andy McLelland did Run DMC's "It's Tricky", Wes Snelling did Kelis' "Milkshake" and there was lots of circus acts.
