Cockatoo Island Comedy Festival

Spotted an article in yesterday's Sydney Morning Herald. John Pinder is staging the "world's first all-day, all-evening comedy festival" on Cockatoo Island in October. Sounds like an interesting idea but, of course, it all depends on the lineup. If acts that are mentioned in the article are actually confirmed, it could be quite good.

Apparently tickets go on sale on July 20.

Re: Cockatoo Island Comedy Festival

Thanks for sharing this info It would be good if the comedians mentioned are coming to Australia. Maybe they'd do a national tour? Hopefully!

Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my.

I have always dreamed of something like this. Trust John Pinder to make it so.

Re: Cockatoo Island Comedy Festival

The full program is due to be announced tomorrow, however I'm pretty sure the line-up is pretty much confirmed <see here>.

H
as anyone else booked tickets? I'm a sucker and went and paid the extra $75 to camp on the island... mainly because I like the idea of sleeping in, knowing I can stumble out of a tent and immediately into a show. I may attend shows in my pyjamas... just because I can.
