Joining the convo far too late...GNW has nothing to do with BB...Global Television provides the cameras, etc, to BB, and they also provided the same services (and a studio) to GNWTV Productions.

When they signed with Channel Ten, GNW signed up to produce their own stuff and sell it to Ten, not make things for Ten. They would have done some things because the Ten publicity people asked them to, but in most cases, cross-promotion helped them as well, because they picked up on the audience the cross-promoting star attracted.

Now no one on the show liked him, i dont know about the crew. BB people would deffinatly have been on there, anything for the ratings.
And on a personal note, gretel has realy gone down the toilet, that is if she can stop tripping over long enough to reach the flush.

It is sad truth that the BB housemates are everywhere. If they can make it on to the panel and rove, they would be on GNW if it was around too. Sad, but true.

Yeah, Kinky sucked...smoking that cigar next to poor Mikey who was trying to quit, and not saying anything funny, but they didn't know he was going to suck when they asked him on. They probably thought "good writer, popular guy, he'll attract an audience, and if we're lucky he'll say something clever", and then lucked out. It happens.

They DID choose their own guests (Pam Swain was talent booker, I believe), BUT, they probably would, if they were still on, use their contract with channel ten to get the BB kids on, because that would drag in a MAMMOTH audience...granted, not exactly a smart audience, or one looking for high-brow, intellectual commentary on the news of the day, but who cares when ratings are going to go through the roof, right?

Kinky friedman was funny in his time but like an awful lot of people of his generation he has lost his edge and just kinda looks old and stupid.
