I doubt they stole this idea, after the trouble they got into last time. ;)

The panel had the band that has the song "sing sing sing for the love you bring etc."  I like that song and they had some other cool bands like Superjesus.

Abundance - the format is just a variation on shows like The Panel and GNW. *Those shows together = GH. *It's not exactly a hard format to develop...

OMG! have you ever tried to produce a show..... its not exactly an easy thing to do.- it just takes a while to try and be difernt and find structres that work.

I thought with the hour- they could just talk more/cover more topics- you could tell that show was very tightly cut.- maybe its for the best though.

Did they get into legal trouble for GNW?- I love 'Have i got news for you'- its soooo funny!

My final comment: Those mirror things that lurk around the set............ i've noticed them there. Yes there still there- that was a prop form COUNT DOWN days- and there still using it!- thats funny. I'm not saying its not a good set prop- its just funny that its so old.

ok i shut up now.

Those mirror things were on the GNW set and they are also either based on or a copy of a sculpture, don't recall who by though.

The Panel HAS been getting more crap, every week.  HEAPS of the jokes are private between the panel members, and the audience...meh, maybe just the last few weeks haven't really been great...

Abundance - the sing sing sing band!!  I reckon the Panel DO get on a lot of really crap bands, but the sing sing sing band, Travis, they're my all time fav band, they kicked ass, but other bands, *groan* there are so many crap bands on it i just switch channels.  SING SING SING!!  Great song.

Proddie - i didn't say producing a tv show was easy.  But just look at the GH.  Let's get this straight first, i REALLY like the GH.  Now look at the format.  5 People having a good old yarn, about news topics.  How is that NOT like the panel and GNW put together?

It's got elements of BackBerner/O'Loghlin on it too though - the stuff they do in between segments with the clips from news topics, making people seem like they're saying something they're really not...

Trust me don't worry about not getting to go backstage, it wasn't worth it.

We were in the Greenroom before the show because of the thing i'm did with Wil. I was watching Sale of the century with Adam though! We were cracking up at the blue wiggle and the guy from Bless this house! He looks like a hippie now.
Seriously the blue wiggle was so active, he looked like he needed a tranquilizer, he kept waving his hands in the air and everything!
I heard adam mentioned it on stage when he went out.

We were in the greenroom when everyone started coming in. It was lame watching it on a telly in a greenroom, although they were giving us food and booze, but i wouldn't be pissed at missing it.

So we went out and stood on the side of the stage with the rest of the crew.

But on different news i made it to brissy! I'm up here now in an internet cafe and it's only 4 hours away from interviewing David! I met him last night after the shout show, Vanessa introduced me. It was rather embarrasing, then her and david are like "come on get a picture with us!".

I'm having tonnes of fun though! I'll  update you on how the interview goes, whether you guys wanna hear it or not, you have the choice to read it. :)

So until next time take care everyone, bub bye!

I think the Glasshouse is more structured than the panel. Not a gameshow and less structured than GNW and the Bumpers are kinda like Backburner. But it is a great show now its getting settled in.

GNW were in a continuous lawsuit with the production company that make have i got news for you, and they settled it in GNWs last year on TV. The year it looked the least like HIGNFY!!!!!

I think it would be a mistake to make the Glass House an hour show.  Half hour keeps it tight  - all killer, no filler.

i agree. making the glass house into an hour show will just drag out the funny stuff into a longer period of time making it a little bit boring. gnw is the perfect example as to what happens if more air time is given. at the moment, the glass house is a funny show that is quick and sharp... exactly what was lacking in australian comedy tv.
