Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

I prefer this choice of name, I have to say. It's silly, but it's not an ABBA reference. Big improvement.

You mean, what Paul's NOT doing, surely? *g*

And that's not even close to being the worst photo I've seen of the three of them, so it's not all bad. Although it does make Richard look like he's got the biggest head in the world...

I went into EzyDvd and pre ordered my copy today.

Didn't want to do it online cause then I would have to pay postage and the store is in the shopping centre I go to every Saturday, so that would have been dumb!!

The ABC finally has it on their website. They have it listed at $34.95 and with a running time of 229 minutes!! Should be fun to watch!

Here's the link:

229 minutes worth of DAAS. That's going to keep us pretty occupied. I wonder how many episodes of the Big Gig there are in there

I'm guessing (without knowing for certain), that it will only be their bits from the show. The show ran for 3 years (89-91), so I'm guessing it's just their bits. Although - I would love to see Pate Biscuit and Veronica Glenhuntly again!! Bring it on!!!

Smile Blurb from DVD Release

The world-famous Doug Anthony Allstars wreak havoc on the Live comedy classic - The Big Gig. Australia’s most notorious comedy trio rampage live through a tornado of songs, stunts and stupidity. Explosive. Audacious. Hilarious. On this revolutionary ABCTV show, DAAS break every rule and kick every head.

The comedy hits like a smart-bomb, leaving no civilian unharmed. The Allstars prove that Edinburgh, Assassination, Sex and Hippy-slaughter can be fun. The music is brilliant. DAAS speak like devils but sing like angels, from the rabble-rousing "Dead Elvis" and "I Am Woman" to a heart-breaking rendition of "Heard It Through The Grapevine".

The Doug Anthony Allstars (Tim Ferguson, Richard Fidler & Paul McDermott) were Australia’s corrupt kings of comedy in the 80’s and 90’s. They left an indelible stain on the world’s psyche.

Exclamation The Grab for Cash Begins

Just noticed on eBay someone selling pre-order copies of DAAS-Gold! Well there you go! It's the proper image and blurb but the old name, plus the selling price is $32. Got mine ordered already elsewhere but you can always find someone on eBay willing to try it on.

CD Availability

Hey folks. It is very exciting that an Aussie DAAS DVD is set to be released, but as an American fan, I probably won't be able to watch it due to compatibility issues. In fact, I'm having trouble simply tracking down a copy of one of their CDs. Do you folks have any ideas? I would love to buy a copy of Dead & Alive, but can't find one anywhere.

1 word - ebay!! The 2 CD's are always up for sale on ebay, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding one. Good luck!!
