They filmed a Warren at the first taping but it got cut. A few of us cheered a lot when they announced it, and were told we had long memories *g* but no one yelled out Warren. It might happen next time.

Another stunningly dull performance from Claire... But at least it seems she has started reading the news paper now.

That's a bloody disappointment about Warren. What's the world coming to when no one knows to call out Warren? Has it been off air that long?

Chances are the show will be axed again by the time I get a chance to go to another live taping

Is the next GNW taping the 15th March?

And does anyone have the inside word on when the GNW comedy festival taping will go on sale? Checking Ticketmaster every day is starting to irk me

When I heard only one person yell out, I knew it was one of you guys!

I enjoyed the show so much last night my housemates came to my room to ask what the hell was going on.

I don't know if it was any of us. Definitely wasn't me since I live in Adelaide. Don't think Lisso went to that taping, and I am not sure anyone else said they did.

Might just have been a former audience member who knew the drill

That was the funniest thing ever i've never laughed so much. And can someone PLEASE explain to him what the concept of MIMEis LOL.

Ross Noble is also a crack up (did anyone see him on Out of the Question)i couldnt get over the sock puppet and then when he had Mickey giving it a good frenchy it was too much for me.

Who is this Claire person and what rock did they find her under? I didnt find her at all entertaining, maybe thats why she had her boobs nearlly falling out to compensate for lack of talent but thats just my opinion. I miss the Sandman. And Paul is as hot as ever

Claire Hooper was a regular on last year's The Sideshow. She was roped in when they either couldn't get or didn't want Julie McCrossin back.
I think she's getting better each week as she gets more confident in chipping in. Some of the guests who've been on so far have either been on GNW or The Glasshouse before. It's not really fair to expect her to be on the level of someone like Wil Anderson, who was the host of Glasshouse, aka the Clayton's GNW.

I think if the show lasts long enough she has the potential to be more than "the boobs on the end".
She was funnier than Akmal on Monday night, so that's a start.

Check out the Festival website on Special Events to check when tickets go on sale. If only I could get time off work, I'd head down!! If you aren't sick enough of one website, check out another!! If you're that desperate, you could try emailing the festival organisers. I emailed them a couple times last year and they were really quick in returning emails.

The website is: http://www.comedyfestival.com.au/sea.../goodnewsweek/

Yeah ok i shouldnt judge her yet seeing its the only episode ive been able to see so far Hopefully she'll settle in and improve i just think there's plenty of other funny women they couldve found.
And i cant stand that Akmal either. when i saw he was on it i thought 'oh great not him'

I can understand that she's probably nervous etc. Big shoes to fill really given that Julie had such a large following.

But she wasn't funny on Sideshow either so I am inclined to think that she's just not funny.

Thanks for the suggestion - I've emailed the organisers now and apparently they are still waiting on the go ahead from the GNW producers before they can put the tickets on sale.
