It seems they were right to hold off last time they were going to put tickets up. There are now TWO GNW tapings waiting to go on sale for comfest. Both on the same day, but now there's one around 1pm as well as the one after 4pm.

I don't think anyone knows exactly what's happening with these tapings yet *g* Not even the people running them!

Tickets for the Melbourne GNW tapings are now available on Ticketmaster.

I got back from a meeting and had a peek on the website, and they'd been up since 2pm. And I still can't seem to get anything further back than row A for the 1.45 taping! Someone else go buy tickets so I can get seats that aren't so scary or neck-craningly bad *G*

You have to actually go to the ticketmaster website to get them, though. Searching on the comfest website still gives you "On Sale Soon" and a single taping at 4.30pm.

Heh, didn't take long for the tickets to start moving once they updated the comfest site...

I gave up and booked when it got to row D for the 1.45, but I'd already booked C for the 4.45. So I'm sure I'll be asked "was that you I saw?" when I get back to work after the episodes have aired *groans*

As posted on Live Journal: (some good news but also bad news...*grumbles*

Taping schedule!
Right! Your GNW schedule for the next month or so:

Monday, 17th of March: Special St Patrick's Day edition! Your guests are Pia Miranda and John Maloney on Mikey's team, and Craig Reucassel and Jimeoin on Claire's team.

Then, for the next two Mondays, there will be NO GOOD NEWS WEEK. No tapings, no episodes

Saturday, 5th of April: GNW live from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival! These episodes will air on the 7th and 14th of April.

Tapings resume in Sydney on Saturday, the 19th of April, and presumedly will stick to something resembling a normal schedule for the remainder of the season.

Just letting you all know!

Hope this helps everyone.

Amities,

SS

PS I personally am rather sad that GNW won't be on for two mondays in a row....but still would be interesting to see what happens with this weeks considering Pia Miranda is in Paul's most recent short film The Girl Who Swallowed Bees.~SS.

Pia is a very tiny, cute, innocent little person. And she was very funny at the taping *g* She used to be a gogo dancer!

Frasier's dad is played by John Mahoney - John Maloney is a UK comedian who has been mistaken for a lesbian *G*

He has also appeared on several previous GNW episodes. He sang a medley of REM songs with Paul on GNWE or one of the other musical versions of the show.
