Anyone else not fussed on the new theme song? What was wrong with the original version? The country-fied version as sung by Paul just seems wrong somehow...and vaguely Benny Hill-esque...

yeah its a bit strange, and the shortened music after the ads and stuff too.

Oh, gawd, I was so annoyed about that. Damn jimmy jib camera...I've been able to hide from the cameras at Sideshow, I'd forgotten how much they seem to like to film me *groans* Next time I go, I will be finding somewhere I can hide.

I still have an urge to give Mikey a hug *bg* I've missed him, and his picking on Paul *bg* There was even more at the taping, and it'd better continue.

Jensen was suprisingly amusing for a cross-promotional guest. I don't mind that kind of guest if they're actually an interesting person, or are prepared to play along. It's just a shame they couldn't use the promo of Jensen shoving Paul so hard he fell on his knees...*eg*

They did in fact use that one. I saw it today - it was quite funny. But not as funy as the bloopers ad that I saw as well with Paul egging Jensen on claiming he wouldn't have the strength to budge him and Jensen asking whether or not they were going to lay down a crash mat. XD

I wonder if that'll end up on the new website.

Weirded out as I was by the music (I kept expecting them to come back from a break to a Benny Hill chase scene...), and despite my indifference-bordering-on-dislike for Claire, I really enjoyed the episode. Anything that gets Mikey back on tv on a regular basis is a win in my book.

And the taping was one of the most surreal evenings of my experience...it was like a very long flashback to my late teens.


Suggestions for Guests We'd Like to See, anyone? *bg*

I vote for Morgs, Fleety, Amanda Keller, Daniel Townes, Fiona O'Loughlin, Justin Hamilton and Geraldine Quinn from the comedian side of things, Bob Brown, Natasha Stott-Despoja (for old time's sake *g*) and Kevin Rudd (cause it would be hilarious) from the political arena, and Julie McCrossin in general because even if she can't come back for the whole thing, she should at least visit. GNW without at least a little Julie (and her talking boobs) isn't quite GNW-ish enough.

ETA: Ooh, and Pinky Beecroft! Because Pinky trying to talk sensibly about news on GH was always hilarious, him trying to actually answer questions about some of the most fucked up news stories imaginable would be brilliantly funny *bg*

I'm sure there are more people I'd like to see who I've forgotten, so, suggestions?
