Good News Week 2009

New year, new thread!

Good News Week is scheduled to return on the 9th of February, probably at 8.30pm but check your local guides.

Fingers crossed for a good year for GNW. With all the economic doom and gloom I can't imagine Ch10 tolerating sub-par ratings for long. I don't want to see GNW getting axed again!

Re: Good News Week 2009

My household recently became the proud owners of a people-meter. GNW will receive high ratings, even if it means entering my dog and cat as viewers.

Yay!
I'm pretty sure any stuffed animals in the house would also be interested in watching.

Re: Good News Week 2009

I discovered my Mum regularly enters the details of a non-existant young child whenever she watches kids quiz shows. I think that child might have some older friends who would like to watch GNW with me each week.

Hey,

Not to be biased or anything but another way to get keep GNW on air would be to cast your vote in the annual TV Week logie awards either by going here or buying a copy of said magazine and mailing it in the snail mail.

Amities,

I've already done that!!! I get TV Week every week and my workplace is going to be supporting my attempts to get GNW and Paul a Logie by paying for all the postage (they just don't know it!!!) Plus I've voted online too!

In the last episode of GNW (in 2000), they did complain in the final song, that the only regret they had was they never got a Logie. Let's get them justice now!!!

(I think I've been watching too much President Obama)

Re: Good News Week 2009

I've voted and been encouraging some other people to vote too.

Got to see if I can get enough votes up to get the logie for them.

Re: Good News Week 2009

I saw that ad tonight during Biggest Loser. Wondered what in the heck they were doing at the start and then realised when the silly wigs came out.
I want a HD shot of Paul with the guns so I can use it as my desktop wallpaper...

Re: Good News Week 2009

Oh can we please get rid of Akmal....please...he tries to take over the show...guess what Akmal..the show is called Good News Week, not 'what does Akmal think on every subject'. There are so many talented (and actually funny people) in the world, why do they keep getting him on the show?

Not to mention Ajay Rochester...OMG!!! WTF???? She was embarrassing to watch, insulting and not funny. Mikey seemed like he was ready to walk off, as did Paul! You can be sarcastic, if you're funny, but she just seemed mean. For someone who had a weight problem in the past, you'd think she'd know better!! But she wasn't funny! She and Akmal can make a good pair. It's always all about them, look at me, look at me!!! Just make it all about them somewhere else Ted...please. I don't want to say worst episode ever, but it came close!!!

Now I've had my complaint....I feel better!!

Re: Good News Week 2009

There's a lot of very unhappy people on the official forums for The Biggest Loser complaining about Ajay's performance last night.
Wish I'd remembered to watch, now.

Didn't see Akmal last night but I agree, he needs to be on way, way less. They can't possibly be that hard up for guests.

Re: Good News Week 2009

This should cheer you up...

And on 9th March none other than Gina Riley and Mark Trevorrow will be on the same bill. Bound to be a bit of campery all round.

Riley and Trevorrow go way back to their days acting together at St Martin’s Youth Theatre in the 1970s.

Also joining them are Jimeoin and Cal Wilson. - TV Tonight

And yes I agree last night's ep was bad.

Lol.
