I've started a countdown... as of today (June 1st, 2001), there are exactly 300 days left until the 2002 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Not pathetic at all... my friends and I in the UK have been keeping a countdown of the Edinburgh Fringe since September last year.
Only 65 days to go now!

I've started a countdown to the Warsaw comedy festival - I've setup a stage and everything, just because it happens to be surrounded by barbed wire and machettis is not an excuse for comedians to be intimidated. Unless of course, they're not planning to come.

ooohh.. ta for that.. I've been meaning to start a countdown but I hadn't bothered to count the days cos well... I don't have a calendar for next year or anywhere I could do it.. so ta.. I'll start it in my school diary then next years one.. *grin*

Hehe, not pathetic at all! :star: On my best friend and my website we have a virtual countdown going! It's actually counting down to the same date as the ComFest started this year, because I wasn't sure of the date it starts next year!

As everyone else said, not pathetic at all. The last time Paul hosted the Aria's i was counting down days, hours, minuets and seconds. My friends thought i was pathetic.

bentley - it starts on the 28th next year, because it always begins on a Thursday and ends on a Sunday... so in 2002 the ComFest will go from the 28th of March to the 21st of April. :)

yep those dates above are correct (asked a comedian friend of mine who's appearing next year).  I've even booked my flight from Melbourne to London for Tues 23rd April next year so I can leave Australia straight after a delightful week spent at the festival.

Looks like I'm moving over to the UK for a couple of years now... I've fallen in love with it (and certain people there) too much.

I've spoken to Paul about possibly going (Paul being the guy i am seeing) and he wants to go, but it depends on work and being able to take a week off *sigh*
