One (that's right, you can count that on one hand!) freebie. :p The first of many more to come, if I play my cards right!

The scary thing is, although that initial $490 figure that I got in my budget included non-priority shows which I probably won't end up going to anyway, and didn't include any possible freebies that I might be getting, it EXCLUDES other expenditure such as food, alcohol and transport home. Not only that, but I'm unemployed and I'm stupid and didn't save up starting from last year when I said I would. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Not to worry though. Where there's a will, there's a way...

Music, Mirth and Mayhem is supposed to be pretty good. Unfortunately, it is up against the entertainment mega machine that is ...The Fat.

But I don't like the Fat......

I am getting some freebies for

[b:post_uid0]I would like to offer you two complimentary tickets to see the Great American Stand Up Show:

Rene Hicks and Greer Barnes with a special appearance by Tony Woods (USA).

Rene Hicks, first American female stand-up to be nominated for an American Comedy Award, she's powered up the comedy charts with a mission to make a difference.

'outrageously bold' Ms Magazine

'says it like it is... funny' San Fransisco Weekly

Woods turns his cool uptown sensibility and bizarre whimsy on a familiar world with hilarious effect. Veterans of HBO's Def Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, Comedy Central and even NYPD Blue. [/b:post_uid0]

for Saturday 6th April at 9:30 if you want them. I am already going to see Tripod at 8:30 so I won't be able to make it

OK, this is my absolutely meagre schedule (I'm just completely broke, I'm going overseas soon)

4th-Ridiculusmus, Say Nothing (who are they? I won the tickets, yay for me)

7th-Debate

12th-JJJ ob

13th-Wil By Mouth

I'll also probably pop along to the laugh outs, and I'm planning to see Boiling Point but not sure who with yet.

-----

If I can fit 'em in somewhere, I also might go to Lawrence Leung, The Comedy Zone and maybe the Bill Hicks Project thinga.

PHEW!!!! I've actually done the nerdy thing and divided my list of shows (this includes Spinning Wheel and Festival Club nights) into "Priority Band 1", "Priority Band 2" and "Non Priority". I'm not about to go into what category each show falls into for fear of offending somebody. :p I don't expect that I will be attending every single show in that list for sure though.

IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS (well, for me at least) - so far my total freebie count so far is up to $145.50!!! That's $145.50 that this poor unemployed uni bum doesn't have to scrounge around/beg/steal/do unmentionable "favours" for. And something along the lines of $160 that I've saved for other people. This ComFest is gonna be fucking HUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!

Sorry to gloat, but you have no idea the relief this news brought me. I am dirt poor. No really.
