The main part of the festival takes place the the eastern CBD area of Melbourne. Somewhere near Swanston Street, and in the vicinity of the Melbourne Town Hall would be good lodgings.

The Vic Hotel is just around the corner, and is also a comedy venue, but it can be a bit pricey if you are a student, and wanting to stay a while. There's a back packers place down Flinders Lane - same street that the 9th Ward is on.

I haven't had much need for hotels and such in Melbourne, but I hope that helps a bit.

Oh, and YAY! for Com Fest.

springyninja, there is a thread in the MOSH Archives which has a fairly comprehensive list of hostels and prices etc.; have a look there for some ideas.

Yay. :p

That's a bit freaky as I was just thinking, as my tram went past the Melb Town Hall this morning, that the year had flown and it wouldnt be too long that Comfest would be here again.

I'm sorry... It's all my fault. I should stop dragging you along to gigs and getting you drunk with comedians so that I can stay sober and laugh at you all, and then drive home.

I know how you feel, plus I am getting used to being paid monthly as well - rich for one week, broke for 3.

I also know alot of the shows that probably will be heading our way having seen them at Edinburgh and that just makes it worse, all this waiting. Noel Fielding better get his skinny butt (and his show *g*) down here this time.

But Ross Noble IS coming, thank god! Sonic Waffle....bring it on!!! :devildud:

I bet I'm going to regret using the word 'bugger'.
