Reputation: Reputation Power: 5 | The main part of the festival takes place the the eastern CBD area of Melbourne. Somewhere near Swanston Street, and in the vicinity of the Melbourne Town Hall would be good lodgings. The Vic Hotel is just around the corner, and is also a comedy venue, but it can be a bit pricey if you are a student, and wanting to stay a while. There's a back packers place down Flinders Lane - same street that the 9th Ward is on. I haven't had much need for hotels and such in Melbourne, but I hope that helps a bit.
