OKay. I just got an e-mail from Ticketmaster saying the following will be doing the gala this year: Compered by the ever- charming and laconic Dave Hughes from Nova 100 and ABC TV's The Glass House. | MOSH Addict | yippeeeee!!!!!!!! What a line-up. not very canadian based though, although I doubt, the current Candian resident that I want to see would be in the gala, not being a comedian. *hugs DFL and Haggis for making me go* ![]()

| MOSHer | yes, wonderful lineup. Very happy to see that Cal Wilson will be on our screens. It's amazing that NZ is literally 3 hours away but we hardly ever see any of the huge comedy talent here. (I'm rectifing that problem by going on holiday to NZ for a week after comfest). My next hope is that Flight of the Conchords come to Melbourne. Also, dying to see what all the 'newcomers' are going to do (Antopolski, Wool, Wilmot) to make them accessible on TV. Beckslee, you might change your mind about the whole Canadian thing once you see Glenn Wool. Amazing! I always love a man in eyeliner. | ||

I hope Phil Nichol comes down again, and I heard Sean might be coming too. Makes sense when you think the juice pigs did something like 8 Melb comfests..... As for Funny Canadians what about Kids in the Hall, Mike Myers, John Candy, Martin Short, Norm McDonald, Colin Mochrie, and if you want to count for Tom Green...almost makes up for giving us Celine Dion, Shania Twain and know this fucking Avril Lavigne. Whats with that? All the men tell jokes and all the women sing...strang country.

| MOSHer | yeah, Phil is doing the New Zealand Laugh Festival in early May. It makes perfect sense that he'll be popping in to the Melbourne proceedings on the way. His latest show 'Things I like I lick' was fab in Edinburgh last year, with an impromptu ending created every night by his artist friend Shannon and it managed to get a nomination for Best Show as well. Haven't heard anything about Sean Cullen coming down though unfortunately. And yes, the Gala is being broadcast on ch.10 a week or two after the Gala takes place. | ||
