And the recipients are ....

Damian Clark
Monica Dullard
Some guy whose name I can't remember.

And the Boner Ballet got a partial moose. No one on the night seemed to know what that means, even the Moosehead committee.

Well thats great news. Good on Damo.

Glad to hear that the Moosehead gang have their act together then offering something they don't even understand. Maybe it means they'll pay for the venue but you're on your own when it comes to advertising it. hmm.

I thought it was meant to be only two recipients?

I'd be interested in finding out who the act whose name GM can't remember is. Was it a Melbourne act or interstate?

wtf? was there a mooseheads show like there used to be that just went completely over my head!? ARGH!

hooray for Damo! *grins excitedly*

that means wonderful clarkey goodness at comfest, so i don't have to just settle for bumping into him in the bars!! yay!

dunno about dullard, and i'd also like to know who the other winner was, and why boner ballet? they're good, but i tend to not really think of them so much as comedy but cabaret... really..

*shrugs*

The full list

This is the official list of recipients and their shows:

"Damian Clark - Bandit
Monica Dullard - Monica Dullard's Concert After Tea
Krisztian Bagin - The Beginning & End of Fin Begin.

This year, there has also been a Mini Moose awarded to The Boner Ballet Co. - The BBC's Wild World of Dance. "

The 'event' wasn't one of those big Moosehead fundraising shows with tons of big name performers, it was just a little gathering in the backroom of a pub in Collingwood where there was a little bit of entertainment, a few nibblies, and a Moosehead representative reading out the names and getting the recipients up to chat about their upcoming show.

Heh, it was funny when Krisztian Bagin went up for his chat:

"So, Krisztian, what's you show about?"
"Um, it's about this clown, who's really a robot who's been programmed to entertain people, except he doesn't like it and he goes on a journey of sorts .... I'm not really sure, my producer wrote the application."
"Ooooookayyyyyy."

Comedy Idle

Dunno if I know that one ...

I thought it sounded like the philosophy monk from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.
