well, had a quick look through the Adelaide Fringe site. Looks like Ed Byrne is doing a season there, and then hopefully Melbourne too as promised.

I don't think I saw any other huge surprises international act wise. Just the ones we already know about, and then the likes of Cream of Irish, Best of the Edinburgh Festival, Britcom...

Need a better look to see whats interesting in terms of local talent. Being down there for only 4 days kinda limits what you can see at the Fringe. I've already got a ticket for "12 Angry Men" though.

According to my mother (very unreliable source!!!...except she says she has it on tape ) Tripod were just on Channel 10 News Adelaide talking about the Fringe.

Anyone know who Cameron Goodall is? She said they were talking to him as well

Morgs! I'm there, definitely.

Dave Gorman was my fave show last year so I recommend him to anyone that hasn't seen him before. And then in no order, I'm also already planning on seeing Man Bites God, Tripod, Justin Hamilton, Charlie Pickering, Julia Wilson and Aaron Keefe, the McKenzie brothers, Ross Noble, Gutter Monkey, Adam Richard and Adam Hills

hails recommends (in addition to those already mentioned)...
- Mike Wilmot. Very rude, very funny, very brilliant especially when accompanied by most of kind of pluto
- Cal Wilson. Good if you like something a bit different. The fact that she's a dirty rotten spunk has nothing to do with me adding her at allllll *innocence* but yeah, she is actually quite good
- Boiling Point. If there's a Boiling Point 3 this year, you simply must go. It's homoerotic comedy.

be cautious of...
- Noel Fielding. He will either make you laugh your panties off, make you utterly confused or leave you stranded somewhere in between. He's definitely one for surrealist comedy *s*
- Rod Quantock. He tends to base a whole show around current events. Personally, I LOVE the sort of stuff that bitches about the US and slags Bush and that essentially makes jokes out of war. I went with Spoof who was trying to block out the war, so she didn't like it at all...however, I think the woman who kept whining next to her might've had a bit to do with that *s*

be scared of...
- whiny-looking people! Carry a large wooden object at all times!
- me and my dancing.
- Haggis and his laugh.
- anyone who looks at all sick. If they so much as open their mouth, run.
- generally, anything that costs over $25 (for a student at least, don't know what they charge grown-ups these days).
- the standard you-know-whos. If they so much as open their mouth, run.
- the end *teary*

"Deep down you want to get a gun and fucking shoot everyone, but you can't, right?" - Matthew Bellamy, NME Magazine.

"On the other hand, if you add 'le' to a word, it does make it classy...like 'lesbian', the classiest women of them all!" - Captain Hero, Drawn Together.

Reconmendations
General:
- If you don't have anyone to go to you with a show. GO ALONE. Because it is only one show and really it wont be long till you see everyone again.

- See as many unknown acts as possible. Because they can be awsome.
What is the point of going to a comedy festival if you see a heap of shows again and again- it's not expirance the full festival. You can also end up regretting it, because in a few years time they might be the best.

- Always talk to people who are handing out flyers if the show looks ok, you should find out more about it. But for fuck sakes don't ask any questions "Why should I go to your show?" or "Is it any good"

- If you are too young to go into the HiFi but look older then you are. Just try, you never know!

Actsbesides the ones I think have ben mentioned)
- If you into Impro, Impro Sundea are extreamly talented.

- Matt Elsbury. If he does Matt VS The Music World. You get a fantastic act, and if you are a music lover you would appricate his passion.

-Anthony Menchetti: He was one of my faviout shows of the festival by far! It was unique. Many people say he will be very big very soon.

-Lawrence Leung: I haven't seen him before, but I have heard so many great things about him, I think other people should see him, because I dont know if I will get the chance this year! (I dunno if he is comming to sydney)

- Ang Fang rock!

Warnings:

- Don't piss off a flyer, they may try and paper cut you to death!

- remember to eat! If you have a full day (OB and shows) dont just run around crazy. Food is important.

- You will see comedians all the time, everywhere. Dont think it is weird, because what do you expect?

-Big names dont always mean the best shows!

Hello, Minister! Did I mention I'm resigning?
- Percy Weasley

Visit smuffy at work!!!!

People who know where I work include: Nikksta, Kali, Nick and KrystalB*tch (and I think Beckslee does as well). This way you get to see my bogan manager *giggles* Especially come visit on Mondays, cos it's the day after Spinning Wheel and I start at 7.30 am (and the manager thought I was joking when I said that I could get booted out, go home, have a shower and come to work!).

Ummmm, who else?
Adam Hills, Adam Hills, and Adam Hills (only cos he's only been mentioned once so far). Sarah Kendall. Cops on Heat if they're back this year. Glasshouse taping for those of us who don't live in Sydney - let's see how many MOSHers get caught by Dave this year!

Avoid the Rumpus Room boys! They are the ultimate in crap. If you do happen to accidently see them, smack them in the head for me. Then wash your hand in the Yarra.

DO:
Talk to anyone sitting next to you. Who knows, they could be a MOSHer *points at SR and giggles*

Howard Still Pongs.

'Gag reflex.' - Tim (choking etc during Wimmin's Lit)
'Completely gone.' - Paul.

Nah, Old Blue Boots goes way back with the Dalek. He'd kick names first and ask questions later.

Morgs is generally damn good value. Occasionally I've seen him struggle (he usually brings it back - sometimes he just had to keep talking until he sobered up enough to get back to being funny) and one time he even frightened me and the rest of the audience. Just go see him!

Lawrence is one of my favourite comedians of all time - his shows are always BRILLIANT - be he isn't doing a show himself this year. He is directing a bunch of others, though.

Unless they happen to be a Dalek handing out flyers, in which case you might get worse than a paper cut. :p

1) I had a wicked migraine (cause I was getting sick)
2) I hate the war
3) The stupid f**ken cow kept going "ohhhhhh I know" or "i totally agree" every single time Rod said something. It took all my effort not to thump the living daylights out of the bloody bitch
