Stand up comedians Joanne Brookfield and Tanya Losanno are presenting their debut solo shows as part of The Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

To warm up for these international battlefields, the Comedy Lair is presenting 'A Dog's Breakfast starring Joanne Brookfield' and 'Tanya Losanno is a Rebelle' as a double bill on the first two Wednesdays in February at the Underpass, Terminus Hotel, Clifton Hill.

Joanne Brookfield takes a good hard look at her life and finds that it's A Dog's Breakfast. Both naughty and nice, her autobiographical show celebrates the humour found in the universal messiness in life...because what you want, isn't always what you get.

Horrified that their 21 year old daughter was still unmarried, Tanya Losanno's parents took drastic action and entered her into an Italian Beauty Pageant ... in Canberra. According to them, the unmarried ("non sposato") are possessed by the spirit of the rebel...which is why Tanya Losanno is a ReBelle.

The trial shows on Wed Feb 4 and Wed Feb 11 means punters will be getting two shows for less than the price of one each night, and become an important part of the artistic process as the girls use the opportunity to fine tune their shows in front of an audience...so they'll be in top form come festival time.

The Adelaide Fringe runs from Feb 20 - Mar 14 and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from Mar 25 - Apr 18, 2004. Check the respective programs for season ticketing information.
