Richard McKenzie is UNEMPLOYABLE 2004 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Previews 18th &19th March 25th March - 18th Aril 2004 Wednesdays to Saturdays 8.45pm Nylon Bar 36 Lt Latrobe St, Melbourne CBD (btwn Swanston St and Elizabeth St) Great resume awesome references and a work ethic that would impress Karl Marx. There's only two things that stand in his way: Red hair and piercings. Join 2002 and 2003 Raw Comedy state finalist Richard McKenzie as he cuts through CentreLink's red tape with nothing but Hello Kitty safety scissors. After several years of stand up, sketch and improvised comedy (including "Das Uber Show" and "The McKenzie Frenzy" for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival), Richard McKenzie brings it all together in 2004 to present his solo show. After finishing his last job a year and a half ago, Richard thought he would find employment straight away. I mean, look at his resume, it's fantastic! What followed was akin to Alice's journey through the looking glass. Work for the dole, CentreLink, Maniacal employers, JobSearch training, motivational videos, interviews, resumes. Richard McKenzie has taken his experience and discovered not inept government bureaucracy, a generation of slackers or a workforce dominated by stupidity but rather a happy medium of all three. Richard scratches away at the surface of unemployment and discovers that you can't judge a book by its cover (even when the cover tells you to). Because if Richard can't find a job... the terrorists have already won. " keen comic eye...brilliant " Express Media $15/$12 all previews $10 | ||
