Also saw 3rd Degree and Tim last nite, what a great way to end the fest. Was sad having to say goodbye to everyone though. Was great of Tim to get the 3rd Degree guys up for canvas bags too - they've been great supporters of him! ![]() Part of me is glad the fest is over - ie. the sleeping part!!! - but I'm sure gonna miss it. I'm gonna miss the people. Damn theres some awesome people involved in the fest! So, after something like 35 shows, the best I found were: Cameron Knight - His last show in particular... hysterical Late Night Birdmann Wild Duck - Never did I think I'd be fighting over stuffed toys with Daniel Kitson. Brilliant 3rd Degree - "the best sketch show at the fest" hehehe Tim Minchin - I don't think theres a word to describe this. insert comedy - damn good fun They'd be top 6. Also great were: Josh Earl, Damian Clark, Danny McGinlay, Charlie Pickering, Laughapoolooza (so many many many great acts)... thats all i can remember for now... Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 2 | Was thinking starting a new thread called "Let's Have Our Own MOSH MICF 2005 Awards"...But didn't... Awww....why does the festival have to end?!?!? Ok...spose for sleep etc... Thought for some reason i would nominate the best/most memorable shows I've seen (in no particular order): Charlie Pickering : Betterman - The first show i saw - one word - GENIUS! Dave Callan & Sam Simmons : The Sunshine Factory - Had some damn cool moments eg. the "men and pandas" book; and the panda binoculars. Michael Chamberlin : There's A Party At Stefan Edberg's Place - Brilliant, another genius, could go on for quite a while about this show so best stop there. "Goodbye Pat Cash!" - Hillarious! Damian Callinan : Eureka Stocktake - Ok, so i have quite an interest in the general gold rush period, so this show was awesome - nice character comedy. Die On Your Feet - What a show to end the festival on! Hugely impressive, in depth characters developed over such a short time, much better than expected. ![]()

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 5 | is it sad and wrong that I almost shed tears of joy during Tim's encore? that song is just so.... buhsaguh....(? not even *I* know what that means) I want ittttt.. "this is my brain... and I live in it..." and hooray for him getting a standing ovation ( I was bloody-well gonna start one if noone else did - but being up the back didn't really help..) I wish I'd hung around after to say thanks to the 3rd degree guy who convinced me to go to shows last night, cos I was so very close to just going home and sleeeeping, and i'm SO glad I didn't. | MOSH Veteran | Which of the 3rd Degree guys was it? Standing ovation was awesome... very proud to be one of the first up after the 3rd degree guys! I know exactly what you mean about Tim's final song.. I never quite know whether to laugh or cry... its a rather powerful song... and if it wasn't for a few humourous lines, I think it'd have many people reduced to tears. Just wish it was on the CD. | MOSH Veteran | I think he was always destined to get a standing ovation last night... so many people were ready to start it! Very proud of the 3rd degreers taking the bull by the horns, so to speak, and starting it off! Tim looked so humbled by it to. Now however, I'm sick.... curse the comic curse. | MOSH Addict | The inside word from Tim's doorbitches is that he's coming to Tassie in September. Yay! I would have given him a standing ovation, but I wasn't there. ![]() His show was my favourite. Other notables (in no particular order): Charlie Pickering, Betterman Mike Wilmot, Josh Earl, Laughapaooza, Josh Earl, Tripod, Lady Robots v.1.1, The Brothers Mackenzie (sp.?), Old Fashioned Scary Tale, The Bedroom Philosopher, Pyjamarama Damian Callinan, Eureka Stocktake Die on Your Feet

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 5 | It's definately a bloody good song by Tim, My favourite that I've heard, 'Inflatable you' being my second favourite I think. no, wait.. rock'n'roll nerd. no.. wait... argh! they're all too good. The 17 shows I saw in order of bestest to worstest (which is hard cos I loved every one of them!) I'm leaving Tripod out cos i'd seen it before and thus it's too hard to rank) Jason Byrne(x2) Tim Minchin Bill Bailey Demetri Martin Man Bites God Die on your feet Damian Clarke Eskimoes with Polaroids Freedumb Mike Wilmot Justin Hamilton GUD Stewart Lee Maria Bamford The Sunshine Factory Mic in Transit (really off night for Nick Sun. pity.) I send out apologies to Nicko and Silky, who I never got to see *sniffle* and to GM, sorry - I love youuuuu, Danny McGinnlay(dude, you have your harem, what do you care ;P), Julia Wilson, the '3 minute walk' boys, and Josh Earl, I wanted to see ya all, I just had very limited nights of festival joy (and money) this year. ![]() typical I go to the casino and win $450 on the last bloody day! (not that I'm complaining, means my fest was basically freeee! wooo!) oh, and the 3rd degree guy - was the one always around town hall in full eskimo garb - I never got his name.

| MOSH Addict | I haven't checked all my ticket stubs yet, so I don't remember all the shows I saw off the top of my head, and thus can't rank them. I can say that the worst thing I saw all Fest was 'Acts of Absurdity' at Festival Club. After Woodley got the audience back, the MC wrecked what little interest there was. I've never heard a more silent audience, it was even lacking that group of people who laugh at anything. And someone booed! (I nearly joined in, to be honest). Waste of my hard-begged cash. | ||

Reputation: ![]() ![]() Reputation Power: 6 | I met one of the eskimo guys at the HiFi on the last night. He'd always given me a big hug throughout the festival whenever he saw me in robot form but he didn't recognise me in human form. Weirdness.
