Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

Here's my comments on what I've seen so far....

Demetri Martin is the fucking shit. you will leave his show feeling so bloody happy. - not dirty wrong humour, just good clean fun and absolute charming brilliance - I HIGHLY recommend this show.

Jason Byrne is also absolutely awesome, seriously just amazing, hilarious and insane. I LOVE him. You have to love a man who can turn the audience member's jobs/etc. from 'metal finishing assistant' into 'Mental Fishing Assistant' and 'Mobile phones' into 'Hydraulic Hose' ahhh.. funny.

Die On Your Feet - BRILLIANT. I absolutely adored this show - A great insight into life as a comic. Some brilliant one liners and great character relationships - It was just completely excellent and I would Happily pay to see it again.

Mike Wilmot - He's sick, he's twisted and wrong, but god he'll have you laughing til your sides hurt as he slooowly gets drunker on stage and reveals faaar too much about himself.

Freedumb - Phil Nicol and Janice Phayre - This is a clever show that's very very friggen good - I wasn't sure whether I'd like it or not, but ended up loving it- Phil Nicol is out of his freakin mind and he and Janice play off each other brilliantly. plus seeing a man in tights is always worth paying money for.

Stewart Lee is really great - if you like Stewart Lee's brand of long drawn out jokes. I'm not a massive fan but I did enjoy his show, plus he's very cute If you like your comedy snappy and quick - i wouldn't recommend him.

Bill Bailey - I know you can't see him now but by GOD that man is BRILLIANT. absolutely my major highlight of the weekend. just superb. zippedi-doo-da as performed by Portishead? priceless. Buy the DVD if you can get it.

Shit.. I've forgotten who else I've seen..... umm..

GUD were... GUD... my favourite part of the show being Paul's face when he saw lisso and Kel...(which was after the show) just, funny as fuck. the show was pretty good though. I did enjoy it in the same way that I always do

Maria Bamford was interesting - she's a very bizarre lady... I didn't so much laugh as smirk and feel glad that I didn't have her family. I liked the concept of the show, and it's undertaking, but I just don't find her as hysterically funny as many people in the audience seemed to. ("hahaa she's doing a funny voice.. omfgyay!")

*thinking... thinking*

I think that's it so far.. if I think of anything else I'll add it to the list.

I would VERY MUCH recommend that all Mosh people and people related to Mosh people and people who are related to the people who are related to the MOsh people go see Phil Nichols show FreeDumb at 9.45 at the Town Hall.

It's got A LOT more energy than the Edinburgh version and the pace has now become a lot faster...GO SEE HIS SHOW...or he will find you, oh yes, he will find you.

I just don't think I could survive his show without traumatic flashbacks to his arse-flashing at Festival Club...

I thought that was pretty good too. Though I did also love Cam's new name.

Um, hard to describe. It's a physical action. Thump left side of chest twice with right fist, kiss fist, point with two fingers.

Well I took up the offer, and roped in two friends despite some initial skepticism ("So someone calling themselves Deadboy700 on a web forum says your name is on the door? Uh huh."). As we were leaving, after being thanked for our attendance we heard a shout from behind: "Don't forget to talk us up on the Mosh website - I know where you got your tickets!" - so here goes.

Besides the little technical issues (stage lighting causing a loud hum in the PA, and the vocals occasionally being drowned out by the rest of the band) the show was really quite good. There's no particular plot linking the sketches, and you're not going to gain a deeper insight into the music industry, but that's not the point - the music is well written and played (I particularly liked the "It's a Mystery" song by the Scottish band) and most of the sketches come off pretty well, overall I had a really good time.

Forget it Ming, Dale's with me!

Fortunately, Phil remains clothed for the entire show (although there is a film for a naturist film festival, where there is a very brief glimpse of another guy's butt!).

This show is awesome! If you like your comedy at the SERIOUSLY WRONG end of the spectrum, this is the show for you.

Saw the Wilson Dixon hour tonight. Not very good, he seems a bit underprepared and a lot of jokes go flat, but I've heard people say it's good so many it was just the night I went on.

Checked out that "3 Minute Walk" show (got in on that half price deal they're plugging on MOSH). It was awesome, really really funny. I highly recomend this show. Sammy J is great. Fox K is really clever and Michael Connel had me crying with laughter.

I also went to Mike Wilmont. Bit worried at first but he's great. Gave a lot of shit to some poor girl in the front row at the end but for most of the show he was pretty nice, and it was all funny. Very good.

The night I saw it a woman walked out - saying - you're disgusting! others left too - but she was really obnoxious about it.

I didn't really like the show - could see what they were trying to do - but thought that they badly needed a director to put it all together. They try so many things that it just feels bitsy. Having seen Phil around the place since I understand that he's a really crazy guy trying to do something quite serious and linear - I'm going to get my money's worth out of him by the end of the festival so I'm not fussed.
