Reputation: ![]() ![]() Reputation Power: 6 | Super Happy Robot Hour Reviewer Daniel Ziffer, The Age Online April 15, 2005 - 12:00AM Trades Hall, until April 17 Geeks are rewarded in this prop-heavy, pop-culture referencing, fan-boy love-in. Cartoon hero Optimus Prime, the truck leader of the "goodies" in Transformers, and Dr Who's evil Dalek are buddy-hosts of a top-rating tonight show. Complications with Astroboy propel the action. The show won best comedy at the Fringe Festival and has been extensively rejigged, mostly for the better. There are fewer gaps as the impressive, hulking props of co-writer Scott Pollard move about, but the plot is no stronger. Tell your cartoon-loving friends - don't tell any copyright lawyers. * * * * * * * * * Hmmmm. Hardly seems worth the wait. Oh well. | ||

"... The show was about an American country boy who was suddenly given a ridiculous amount of power and had no idea what to do with it. Gee, like that would ever happen." Adam Hills
