Dammit! I'll be back home! Grr. I guess I'll have to but the DVD.

(Random tangent, apparently Tim Minchin taugh Eddie Perfect to play the piano. May not actually be true, but would be interesting if he did.)

When's the planned release date of the DVD? Assuming it doesn't disappear into thin air like so many other planned comedy DVDs...

Tim was Eddie's Musical Director/Pianist for some shows in the past I think (can recall at least one Chapel off Chapel show).

I heard someone say they were mates at WAAPA, but again, it's hearsay.

Rock on

We're aiming for a late july, early august DVD release.

Its definately happening. We'll be passing around an email list tonight to sign up to be the first to own a copy.

Rehearsals today went swimmingly. Show is going to be great. Andy McClelland hosted interviews with all the performers, which will be one of the extras on the DVD, amongst other things.

And yes Tim Minchin was Ed's pianist and muiscal director for the some time before Ed's debut comfest show last year. They're good mates and bitter rivals and would sell their grandmothers for a laugh....didnt hear it from me.

Heheh, we saw that today, Andy talking to Tim with a camera on them both. Should be interesting!

Very impressive line-up.
I'd go, but I've run out of money. I'll just buy the DVD when it comes out.

Okay, whole lot of fun, great lineup, everyone did very well, but seriously! A break in the middle would have been nice! Sure, we got warning in advance that the bar inside would be closed, and we were asked not to move around much for the sake of the cameras, but every other Laugha has had a short break halfway through, and by Sista She I was really hanging out for that break...which never came! Then I nearly wasn't let out the back door to go to the toilets anyway...it was all a bit much. Especially since it didn't finish till 2am, and we're usually out not long after 1!

Other than that, excellent show, but that buzz in the first few acts is going to have to be dealt with in post and they should either have employed people to handle the camera cables, or taught the camera people to manage them cause I kept hearing clunks as they dropped them.

I didn't spot the email list anywhere, so I'll second BillyC's question about how else we can keep appraised of the news, cause I definately want a copy of that.

I also never saw any email list.

Fantastic night though... and LOVING the reception for Tim Minchin... even if I was a great part of it!

All the acts were great, and should make for a GREAT DVD.

So paying for it now tho... What I wouldn't give to be home in bed rather than working!

Wouldn't it be nice if the world was chocolate?, No it f**king wouldn't because you'd melt!!! Cameron Knight

This is my brain, and its fine. It's where I spend the vast majority of my time. Its not perfect, but its mine.. Tim Minchin

FUCK I LOVE ORANGE...

I'll second that. Have to say that I didn't see the email list either. Will definitley get the DVD as I didn't have a great view of the stage - there was some guy with a seriously abnormally large head sitting in front of me...
