The Swiss Club is at 89 Flinders Lane, Melbourne. It was a venue last year. Whereis.com.au says it's about ten minutes' walk. In terms of the Melbourne CBD grid, from the corner of Swanston and Collins (the corner of the block the town hall is on), you walk one short block towards Flinders Street, then left up Flinders Lane, and the Swiss Club is just short of two long blocks up the hill.

I don't have a schedule as yet - but I just made a list of shows I want to see so that I can at least get a start.

to clarify, also - I am seeing Dylan Moran and Ross Noble, and maybe Arj Barker up here in sydney so that I can see more down there - so don't just think I'm an idiot for not going to see moran, k?

Must see:
Jason Byrne
Lano & Woodley
Tim Minchin
Justin Hamilton
Laughapalooza (at least one)
Man Bites God
Tripod
Demetri Martin

Maybe:
Adam Hills
Captain Frodo
Space Cowboy
Sunshine Factory 2
Charlie Pickering
Corinne Grant
Dan Willis
Elbowskin
Glenn Wool
Greg Fleet
Matt Elsbury
Nik Coppin
Pauly Shore (haaaaa)
Rich hall and Mike Wilmot
Wil Anderson
The 4 Noels
me and my brother are porn stars

no list, as probably not going, but I'm pissed off you Melbournites get first dibbs on Rich Hall's play. I wanted to see it first *pouts* but for some 'undisclosed reason' he cancelled his session over here. That being said, the Fringe is looking pretty fine, even if I wont really get to see much, I can still walk past the Garden, and admire the purdy Speigeltent (which I found out from a nice Belgium means mirror-tent)

I haven't made my list yet, but I neet to cram in as much as possible between Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd. I don't want to fill my schedule up with all the mainstream Aussies who will be touring Sydney before or after MICF. What are people's recommendations on the lesser known talents?

I can only fit in one early show on the Sunday because my boyfriend made reservations for the restaurant tram thingo. Sacrificing comedy for cheesy romance, what's become of me!

there there op shop girl. I'm sure the cheesy romance will be remotely amusing. we'll wave as you go past

I would highly recommend Jason Byrne and Demetri Martin. as I am possibly only going to be in melb one weekend of the fest *sob* my list is fairly minimal. I wish I could stay for the whole month.

Some shows that tickle my fancy are:

The Inaugral Golden Guy Fawkes Award.
Scrabble Unscripted.
Justin Kennedy's Beelzebuzz.
Both of Sam Simmons' shows.
The Wrong Night (their season last year was awesome!).
Andrew McCleland's Mixed Tape.
Get Behind Me Elephant.
Of course, Lano & Woodley.

You must see "I heart Racism". It was fantastic at Melb Fringe .

The Lock In sounds great...
...but I'm gonna have to pass on it. If I did, I would have exactly 1 hour & 15 mins sleep before Nick Sun on Sunday evening!

I'd probably do it if I could schedule around it and I didn't have to pay. We'll have to wait and see ...
