I'm doing a show in the festival again, starting next Tueday and going for two weeks only. It's the biggest, most-insane, most "oh shit we thought you were kidding when you said you were going to do that but you actually went and did it" show I've done. If you've seen any of my other shows you'll know that's a pretty big statement to make. My first show "The Super Happy Robot Hour" had an all robot cast (from the 4 foot high R2D2 to the 8 foot high Optimus Prime) and it won the Melboune Fringe Festival's 'Best Comedy' award. One of the festival judges told me she voted for my show because the concept was simply unworkable on paper but I somehow managed to pull it off. The concept to Sucker Punch is even more out there: I take on the Mass Media and beat them at their own game. Sick of all the crap the newspapers and TV stations feed us? Me too. I decided to get my own back. Sucker Punch chronicles my adventures in Media busting. Do I succeed? Oh hell yes. If you want to see exactly how well I get one over on the Mass Media you'll have to come and see the show. Details: The show is on at Glitch Bar & Cinema (318 St Georges Rd, Nth Fitzroy along the 112 tram route) at 9pm Tue-Sun March 25 to April 6. (No Monday show, no early show on Sundays.) It costs $15/$12 conc. and $12/$10 on Tuesdays. You can buy tickets at the door and you can reserve tickets on tickets@SuckerPunchMICF.com. I've got a website at www.SuckerPunchMICF.com but the cruddy hosting is often down. There's not much there that you can't see here. Last edited by Gutter Monkey; 23-03-2008 at 11:20 AM.
