| MOSHer | I'm another one of those people from the Warrnambool area - specifically Caramut for those of you who have heard of it (Stripes, I'm hoping you have). It's one of those blink-and-you-miss-it country towns. Thank God I'm now in Melbourne. I got into comedy via the Goodies and the Late Show. My cousin owns D&A, but wouldn't let me watch it until I was 17 - roughly the year the Dougs broke up (and yes, I will hate him forever). Currently I'm the Dougs, GUD, Man Bites God (I'm one of the people who interviewed the guys at the Prince Pat cd launch last year, where I met Funk You), Wil, Charlie (yay for Boiling Point 2), and I think I'm the only person on the board who kinda stalks Adam Hills (Wil stalks my friends, not the other way around!!) I'm currently driving myself nuts by working two jobs and studying (as opposed to last year where I did THREE jobs and studied). I'm studying towards my MA in Aboriginal History, which leads into one of my jobs, as a tutor in History, which is great fun considering that I know next to nothing about the subject I'm helping to teach (the Spanish conquest of the Americas - I've heard of Christopher Columbus!!!). My other job is in the food court of a major Melbourne shopping centre - not nearly as much fun if you don't include the evacuation last Sunday!!! The first MOSHer I ever met was Beckslee - surprise surprise it was in the line for GUD at last year's ComFest, and was in the audience the night that Paul was going to sing Trailer Queen at her until she said that she liked Cameron. So he sang it at me. Thanks Beckslee (and it's cool to know that we have the same middle name, even if the spelling's different). | ||

It used to be on Macquarie St, up until about a month ago when it got raided by the sheriff's office for operating without an entertainment license. It's since moved to the Againcourt Hotel on Broadway, although I believe it's still operating in the main room upstairs and is yet to move into it's own room in the basement. I mostly plays host to pub level acts. http://thelaughgarage.com

My name's Corinne (yes, that is my real name, i'm not a Corinne Grant stalker who insists on trying to be her). My middle name's Heidi (I was named after a dog called Heidi.. ... are my parents trying to tell me something?!?). Im a 15 year old DAAS psycho whose favourite food is tomato sauce, only eats yellow food at Sizzlers, was born in Sydney then moved to Brisbane when she was 9, has full english blood, thinks the line "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up" is the funniest thing in the world, and does the best impression of roadkill that any of you will ever see. I've got really long light brown hair, dark blue eyes and frequently wonders if people actually read the crap she posts on MOSH. Paul McDermott signed my stomach at Gud, and when I met Jamie Durie at the shops, I asked him to bite me. :lookarou: I play the guitar, and have been doing gymnastics for 13 years and ballet for 6. The best i've ever done on either of those was getting 2nd overall in a national championships for gymnastics a short while ago. But don't let the ballet fool you. I'm really quite dark and morbid. I hate pink, and have actually contemplated spearing every child under the age of 7 with a harpoon. I started watching DAAS when i was 1 on the Big Gig, but watched DAAS Kapital (when it was on the comedy channel in 2001) which lead me to comedy all together, and taught me some rather naughty terms that have stuck with me for life, and have made my parents damn the Dougs since that day onward. Sorry to put you all through that. Who am I kidding, none of you read all that anyway... *waves*

Oh these are ever so much fun ![]() I started lurking her in late 2001 and found this magical place through Alisso's Unoffical Glass house web site and it all really started from there. I am slightly obsessed with music and I am unashamed to admitt it. The bands and solo artists I like/stalk are Grinspoon, 28 Days, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Man Bites God, Tripod, george, Ben Folds, Ben Lee, Ben Kweller (who I saw on wednsday *bg*), Machine Gun Fellatio, PJ Harvey and basiclly and band they play on JJJ...except the alpine stars who I really can't tolerate. I am a wilaholic and a Cubby Kid. The first MOSH meet I went to, I think I may have scared a couple of people with my very loud voice. I am very sorry if you were one of those people. I share the same name as Samantha Fox, the woman who is clearly over the age of 50 but still belives she is 37, and who is getting married to another woman. Fair enough, I say! I got my name becasue of the following reasons 1) the SPAM bit on GNW unseen ond obseene (the spam can't do anything!! )2) the amount of dog poo i get in my hotmail account 3) it's the only thing my friends can get around to calling me besides "Will you shut up!" This is my life and there really isn't much more I can say about it. ![]() [/quote]

Well, I'm Liz. I'm 16, in year 12 and in Brisbane (and wish I lived in Melbourne or Sydney). I love comedy (obviously) and Triple J. My parents are not particulary pleased that I like comedy (or Triple J for that matter), so I only so my first live gig this year - Justin Hamilton at the Gold Coast. I was introduced to MOSH by my sister (although, not willingly, I was just looking over her shoulder while she was on the computer, and decided to see what it was all about the next time I was online). I started posting purely to annoy my sister, but soon discovered I actually liked MOSH and comedy... so here I am. My sister (thegoodgardener) has since given up on checking MOSH, because she gets online so rarely, so just asks me if anything's happening, or reads over my shoulder, and constantly reminds me that she was here before me. I spend way to much time around computers, so much so that my school is paying me to fix/setup/mess around with computers in my spare lessons. Claims to fame: - I have been put on air on Triple J a few too many times, was called the future of australian business by Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer and I have the exact same birthday as Danny Boy. (and I really like that emoticon).

And my school has more claims to fame than I do! both Linsey from Frenzal Rhomb and Adam Hills went to my school *proud grin* As for my apperence there is a picture of me on Sydney MOSH. You can't really see my face but you get the idea *g*

My name is Kristy. I'm 21, blue eyes, brown hair medium build, 175cm and I want a man who is intelligent, witty, down to earth and a bit nerdy. Having gotten that out of the way I'll tell you more about me. I'm in my 4th year at uni. I study Occupational Therapy and I would literally need an essay to explain exactly what we do - but just briefly we diagnose disfunction as not being able to do everyday things that you normally do to get by. We also break your life down into roles like your role as a worker, as a sister, as a gym member etc. If you cannot fulfill your normal roles and you can't do the things you would normally do (because perhaps you've had a spinal cord injury, or a stroke or have a mental illness) we try and fix you. I'm in a covers band and we play lots of weddings and parties. It's a lot of fun and good money when you have work. I also work at Rosehill and Cantebury racecourses as a waitress and quite shamefully still work at my very first job - McDonalds. I'm a busy bee it would seem, but I'm still almost broke. My dream is to finish my degree, work a bit and save up enough money to move to the UK or Ireland. I would then get a job there and start earning pounds and come back here with enough money to invest in waterfront property. But why am I here on MOSH? Well I was a bit obsessed with Paul McDermott when I was in Highschool, but I eventually got over that. I stay because being here is like being with family to some extent. It's freaky to think I've known some people on here for 5 years online but never actually met them! I'm not so into Australian comedy, but I do love a variety of Brit comedians such as Steve Coogan, Harry Enfield, Alistair McGowan, Ricky Gervais just to name a few. I love all the Alan Partridge series and The Office and have spent way too much money getting them all shipped out from the UK on DVD. I would be your slave forever if you could get me a CD from one of the THree Bens shows!

I was around in the ITW days, and i used to post under whatever name i felt like it, usually 'Sarah' cause it's a common name. I didn't mean to stir trouble there, but i possibly did *g*. I've been told i voice my opinions too forcefully on others, and i probably did that. I joined up on MOSH whenever this MOSH started. Ummm, early 2001 sometime. I lurked for a bit, then posted away - i do believe i wanted to get my post count up. But for now, i've had less and less to say that was of any use, so i've become more of a lurker now. I joined up with MOSH because i loved GNW. After that ended, i became more of a general comedy fan. I watch a lot of comedy television, infact, that's pretty much all i do watch these days. I don't get out to see much live comedy though. My MOSH name comes from a slight obsession i had with the show Seinfeld in year 10, 3 years ago. My group of friends each had characters, and i was Elaine....so there ya go. My real name is Margaret. (go the other margaret on the board !*g*) I'm 18 and a half. I finished school last year at a really shit school up north. I didn't study very much at high school, so now i'm stuck with doing a Bachelor of Science at UNSW, hopefully being able to transfer into Computer Science next year. I'm most notorious for not being 'a people person'. I don't lke meeting new people, pretyt much because I don't get along with people, and people don't much like me, so i've learnt to deal. So instead, i'm more of a computer person. Online people are better than real life people. So in short, i'm one of these MOSH computer nerds *g* I like lots of Triple J sorts of musik. My favourite bands are probably Ben Folds/Five, George, Jebediah and Muse. I watch way too much tv, and spend way too much time online. My favourite comedians probably include Adam Spencer, Wil Anderson, Dave Hughes and Arj Barker, but they change time to time. There ya go ![]()

Hey all, I'm Moogie. My nickname came about when I was in year 9, and a friend just called me it and it stuck! I've been a MOSHer since March of 1999. I was introduced to MOSH by penguin and Chook. During that time I became really sick and #gnw chat and MOSH were two of the places that kept me going and kept me smiling during the whole time of my illness. I've met a few MOSHers, the majority of whom, no longer frequent here anymore. All of these people are awesome and I have made some really great friends through this place! I am also married to VAxwell and we have 2 children who we no longer speak to! :lookarou: I also have a boyfriend who I have been together with for almost 2 years now... me and VAx have an open marriage! ![]() I became a lurker when the ITW board died and have only just recently started posting more often. I do frequent #gnw chat whenever I get a chance, although it's more difficult nowadays due to uni. I am in my first year, studying a Bachelor of Business... hoping to end up somewhere in the tourism industry when I graduate in 3 years time. I am a big fan of comedy and music, due to the fact that they have both helped me through some really tough times in my life. My likes include: Linkin Park, McDermott and all his work, Rove, Tripod, Cameron Bruce, Skithouse, Survivor, Big Brother, Buffy + Angel, AFL, Cricket, Blink 182, and heaps more things. Well, I think that's pretty much me in a nut-shell... hope it's been of use!

My real name is Hailey (spelt with the 'i' because my mum had never seen the name written so presumed it was like Bailey's). I'm 17 and currently stumbling my way through the HSC. I tell people I live in Sydney despite the fact that live further s/w and couldn't name a single street in the city. It's not so bad here in Fairfield, we have...um.....well, Jelana Dokic used to live a few streets away from me...not much to boast about though, is it? My greatest loves are comedy and music (JJJ). I've been playing guitar since I was six, but I never learnt more than short melodies untill I got to highschool. I'm currently deciding whether I should do 2 performance and 2 vivas for my HSC Music 1 course, or 3 perfomances, 1 viva. I love the solo in Hotel California, though I've only learnt the first 30 seconds of it...so many bends, slides and hammers! I have very eclectic tastes in music, my current favs include Simon and Garfunkel, TISM, the Waifs, MGF, george, Frenzal Rhomb, John Butler, the Bens, Paul Kelly, Nick Cave, ACDC, d Henry Fenton and Alice Cooper. The first comedy show I ever went to was a taping for a GNW debate...I'm not sure what it was called, but I do recall Paul Mentioning something about John Howard in Bondage gear, and Adam Hills holding a rather phallic map towards his body. Since then I've been to (in no particular order) one other debate, a few Glasshouse Tapings, Wil by Mouth, Jagged Little Wil, A very Tripod Christmas, Speedmouse(Umbilical Brothers), Wog Story, Habib on Parole, Rove Live Live, Sleek Geeks, Beatification of Newt Berton and a few charity/gala type events. I love op shops and have managed to get my friends into them too. My peers think I'm a hippy because I have long hair listen to "hippy music" (ie, anything other than R'n'B ) and my teachers think I'm on drugs because I'm easily amused and like to hide in cuboards.I work at KFC and get a crush on a different guy every week, which is the only thing that keeps me there....you serve that many customers you're bound to find a cute guy eventually :p I don't go into chat much because I feel awkward as though I'm interrupting something but if you add me to msn or icq I'm quite willing to talk about all kinds of weird and wonderfull things...like how any conversation can be turned back towards the topic "shit".I watch too much telivision which is quite a feat when you consider I only have free-to-air tv. I'd never get anything done if we got cable. I love watching all comedy shows, sci-fi and most doco's. I loved Human Instincts and still haven't stopped laughing from the line in the last episode "Believe it or not, but my testicles are bigger than his". I don't get enough sleep and am vrey tired at the moment. I have no idea what I'm doing when I leave school but would love a career in advertising or behind-the-scene entertainment, anything from writer to director, editor to sound engineer. I refuse to be a teacher as my parents suggest because most students are ingratefull little shits who don't deserve the knowledge they are rejecting. I should know...I'm one of them
