Well that was a massive shock. After that, it wouldn't surprise me if the voting is rigged. I really thought, (after talking to alot of people and their views on the show) that Guy and Paulini were the favs... Cosima should have gone. | ||

i was disgusted at what Mark Holden said tonight- when he was asked what he thought of the bottom two, he said 'I'm speechless'. now, maybe this is just me desperate to have a little rant, but he should not have said that. It's very insulting to Shannon and Cosima, because he is basically saying that they deserved to be voted out, not the other two. Now I'm not saying that Paulini should have gone. In fact, I think the opposite. But I do not agree that Mark should give such an openly biased opinion- one that is insulting to the other performers, and those who did not vote for Guy and Paulini. Move over Dicko, there's a new dickhead in town. Ah well, I feel better now  I'm not sure if the above makes any sense. Oh well.based on last night's performances, Cosima should have gone. | ||

yes, yes agreeing with all comments above. I'm truly shocked. My thoughts are that maybe new people to Idol (the ratings have jumped from terrible to 2 million in the past 3 weeks) are misunderstanding the voting process and voting people out rather than keeping them in. I'm proud to say I voted for Guy this week, and will now put in my vote every week for him till he wins. Cosima over the past two weeks has given some performances that weren't to the standard. And as far as I can see, most wanted her out this week. (I know I did) Shannon is also quite inconsistent and is probably the least marketable and shapable person in the contest (Australia doesn't need another 'country-rock style' boy, not to mention someone who will have to tear themselves away from a family to fulfil his dreams). For gods sake Aussies, don't vote for the person you most relate to (3 bloody years of Big Brother "battler" voting is enough... not letting Dan win BB this year was travesty enough) - vote for talent! As a PR person, I'm already seeing the makings of a great marketing plan matched by a great voice that could be big worldwide. Vote Guy! | ||

I get new mobile tomorrow so I can vote for the last 2 rounds (not allowed to use family phone for it) so maybe I can make a difference. Also I didn't like Shannon at all until Sunday. In fact, on Saturday I was visiting my friend and whinging about how terrible he was.... and then on Sunday he blew me away with his swing style... I'm not that sure whether I'd want him as the Idol Australia sends to the world though. | |||

IMO at this stage pretty much all three "losers" will be offered contracts [what's the bet they've been on the phone to Paulini already?] from someone or another, so... they're all winners in a way. [*puts the self-ingulgent wankiness of THAT comment to bed*] The person who happens to win just gets a bit of a jump start that the others don't that's all - besides, the public exposure they already have to sell themselves... see what's happened with Rob already. He had a single out the next day. *shrugs* Eh. WTF do I know. | ||
