Rob's single is called 'Dirty Girl' and quite frankly... it's pretty mediocre. There's parts of it that just sing out to be sung/danced to by a five member boyband...

I think Rob & Paulini will get a deal and probably Guy if he doesn't win... Who knows what will happen next!?!... on a silly note, at work we had baby possum in a tree, at lunch times it would come down & eat fruit etc, well we named it Posima cause at lunch we all talked about Aust Idol. Well Posima died on friday, she got sick & the vet put her down

Inside scoop from a top 40 finalist.......Guy doesn't want to win!!! His opinion is that if you win you are already at the top and you have no where else to go. He would rather come second. I mean just look at the UK Idol. The runner up has songs out while we heard nothing from the Winner... But given who is left, I definitely think he will win.

i don't see what's wrong with mark holden's comments, if anything he was just showing support for the two bottom people (it was a bit of a shock) i mean, don't take it otu of contxt here i'm sure there was no intention of bagging out the other two (even though they are pretty shitty).

Marks comments were no worse than Paulinis own comments a few weeks ago when she was up for elimination. Marcia said something about she hopes the Aussie public are voting for talent and then at the end of the show the hosts asked her what she had to say and she said "I just agree with Marcia, and hope that they are voting for talent" How is that for bagging out her own fellow contestants I often wonder if the voting is rigged, for the single they will release to suit the person, another thing with the voting is that it is not representative of how popular they really are, why don't we ever see anything about it on Inside Idol????.....i saw a today tonight story about SMS's and one girl had voted 2000 times for milsy, if he had got through which he probably would have if that girls phone wan't taken off her then i bet she wouldn't be buying 2000 albums. It was interesting a comment made earlier that, people who have just jumped on the idol band wagon may not know how the voting works because Guy and Paulini being up for elimination was a shock!! Cosima is very very talented and i think people should look at the overall series rather than just a couple of weeks....she may have had a cold and her voice wasn't up to scratch, it is amazing how critical and judgemental people i have spoken to become after one dicey performance.....for second her dad was there which may have made her quite nervous....overall cosima has been the one to change herself and grow throughout this whole thing and i reckon that deserves a bit of credit rather than a beating because her performance wasn't as good as usual We all have our bad days....problem is when we are sick we can stay home from work, she HAS to perform. Nevertheless it will be very very interesting to see who takes out the title

The thing that gets me is a comment made a couple of weeks ago on tv about Cosima. The story was to do with the fact she went to the USA earlier this year with a possibility of a recording contract there. They didn't sign her purely on the fact she was a nobody back here. I find it difficult that no matter what she'll end up with a recording contract (she's 'somebody' now after all). I therefore feel its fairer that someone else should win and get their own chance. But as many of you said, quite a few of the contestants will probably walk away with contracts. And on that note, I think Millsy would be far better suited to a role on tv.

well cosima can make all the excuses she wants but the music industry is fickle. if you aren't up to scratch then tough. I'd like to see hwo these people made it in the real world, off their own backs.

I am curious to know how Paulini wasn't "Up To Scratch"??? i thought she was by far the best talent wise, maybe Australia is still stuck in the dark ages and doesn't want a black female winning!!!!! Australia SUX!!!!! Does anyone else think that racism might have something to do with it?

That was a huge shock last night My brother called me before the show even finished ranting about how guy and paulini should have been the grand final. Go guy! But as for people saying that new Aust Idol watchers are voting the wrong way, i dont agree. Andrew G and James say every bloody episode that you have to vote the one you want to stay. Also, while i didnt want paulini to go (i like them all now so the show should just finish and let them all win - yeah i know :P) she was in the bottom 2 2 weeks ago so the shock vote tatic has already been used for her. This was guys first time in bottom 2 so everybody will go "bugger, other people aren't voting enough" and vote themselves! But most importantly - Stu was on last night! *dances about* If you've got nothing better to do with your day, go to www.australianidol.yahoo.com.au and in the bottom right hand corner vote for Stu!

In response also to ..."how they would have made it off their own back"......well they have during this whole process, they have gone through each round and auditioned and worked pretty long hours which i don't think we can even comprehend.....the record company and t.v station came up with the idea and that is there gateway to their dream.........if anyone was offered their dream job with only doing half the work time then good for them, no-one would turn it down and say ohhh no i think that person has worked much harder to be here, give it to them......it is human nature and the Australian way to get the most out of a great situation....as the old saying goes "Never Look a Gift Horse In The Mouth"

no what i meant was submitting demo tapes, beig rejected, not ahving people to do their hair make up, teeach them how to dance, getting a heap of exposure in a short period of times, working it really shitty pubs for years and years and touring. i'm sorry but you can defened the show as much as you like and yes i'm sure they do work hard and people that wanted to be pop singers and didn't care if they earnt money (these people will NOT earn much money believe me, you only have to talk to ex pop stars to find out that unless you write your own songs you're screwed) would jump at the chance but it doesn't make up for the fact that the show is contrived and only based on superficial talent * my opinion only..I'm entitled to it.

I really don't think race has anything to do with it. I love Paulini, I wanted her to win more than any of the final 12, but this is how I see it. Paulini's talent would be wasted in today's top 40. I mean, look at Mariah Carey, for example. She has an amazing voice, and in the early 90s when that was actually respected in the music industry, she had an exceptional career. Move forward a few years and she releases songs like "Butterfly". Her career comes crashing down around her. She has a nervous breakdown. I don't think a girl can win. When no one cares about how well she can or can't sing, and everything is digitally modified anyway, it's more about the look she has, and the affinity she has with her audience. Paulini, amazing as she is, didn't have the same ability to communicate with the audience - Guy does, Millsy did, Cle did. And Cosima has the wrong look, IMO. There's been a lot of variety in race in the final 12. The Australian public voted them in. If we were essentially racist, and that's what was happening here, the final 12 wouldn't have included Guy, Paulini, Cle, Bek or Levi.. it would've been Axle and all of those other blondes I can't remember the names of. There's still a lot of diversity in the top 3 - only one of the contestants is "white". I was really sorry to see Paulini go, but I think racially the voters are doing pretty well. In other news, 2 out of the 3 remaining are Scorpios. Coincidence..?
