Kasey Chambers is a cheap shot. I think we should be more concerned about the passing of Australian Legend - Gordon Piper. It really wasn't that long ago that the dynamic duo of Sid Heylan and Gordon Piper were up there with the best of Australian B-grade television greats. Gordon's career died when Sid passed away and things have never been the same. Just think how many Australian children will, for the first time in many years, finally get a decent night's sleep instead of keeping one eye open and listening for the creaking wheels of the rickety old wheelchair coming down the hallway. 'Where's Cookie?' Cookie's dead Gordon, Cookie's dead.

Cakestyle most of the youngsters here will not know who Bob or Cookie, Syd or Gordon are because they aren't old enough to have even seen A Country Practice.

I however agree, that we have lost a good guy that I got many laughs from. Those 2 were crazy old coots!

So did we all watch "Celebrating Lizzie" and cry last night?

not afraid to say I was holding them back the whole time.
Reminded me so much of when I had to put my cat down

Couldn't bear to watch it. Knew I would blubber like a baby.

He had Lizzie stuffed? That's awful. Just bury the poor thing and be done with it.

I really hope you meant 'pouffe'. My cat could very easily be a rug. But the only problem would be, no matter where you move it, it would always mysteriously wind up in the warmest place in the room.

My cat tried to do that to my sister's kitten once. Poor kitten. (The cat has since been fixed.)
