I studied australian music at uni and focused on the start of the pub rock/countdown era and billy was an integral part of that. he is also part of my favourite aussie rock story of all time. he holds the record for playing a gig at the highest volume ever. one evening he played at bondi pavillion downstairs and they used to have a massive aquarium filled with expensive tropical fish. many bands had played there before and it had never been a problem but the night he played by the end of the gig every single fish had died because of the vibrations and the noise below. | ||
